oh, i meant to add that i get oily around my nose area and this foundation still works well for me. you can always re-apply the powder to eliminate the shine or use blotting sheets.

this works fine for me covering my blemishes, especially if you use a powder to set it, also using a powder will help the foundation last all day long (at least for me). anytime you use a liquid or stick foundation, you want to set it with a powder for staying power.

It only has a light coverage so if you have imperfections on your face then the use of a concealer is a must. However if you have acne then I suggest you try other foundations that provide at least a medium coverage. I personally find that Stila foundations (Illuminiating Liquid or the Natural Finish) wear off very quickly and don't work well on oily skin.

Question
Shade like NC 42
Does anyone use this that used to use MAC's NC 42 or
know a shade that is similar? Last time someone suggested a shade I had to return it and I can't transport myself that easily.

I agree with bolmex23. I was matched with stila's 70 watt illuminating powder foundation and found out that stila's 75 watt illuminating foundation was an absolute perfect match. i was also matched to mac's nc 42 foundation stick, when looked great. i wanted to try stila's natural finish oil-free makeup and shade D matches me perfectly, which is weird because since i wear the 70-75 watt powder, it says i should wear shade 'I' in the natural finish. but, yeah, if you're a mac nc 42, try stila's shade D in the natural finish makeup.

i bought the same mac foundation before, i didnt like it, it gave me a yellowish tint. i got this foundation in D and it blends sooo perfectly. gives a nice tan color that looks very natural. and this one blends a lot easier than the mac foundation. so if your NC42, then use D, i use it and its PERFECTLY matched to my skin color, no yellowish tint at all!

you definitely need to get matched at a store or order online and return it if it doesn't match. i wear the illuminating powder foundation in 70/75 watt, stick foundation in G, and natural finish oil-free in D/E. sounds crazy doesn't it. i thought the shades would be the same too, but they're not.

Not always. I would go try it on first. I find that that they vary slightly because they are different formulas.

Question
Is this non-comedegenic and good for acne prone skin?
I am 38 and fighting issues with adult acne, primarily in my chin area so it's not able to be hidden. I wear a foundation for a few days and then boom - a breakout ensues. Would this be a good foundation for me? If not, any recommendations? I currently use Lorac and it used to work well, but not I'm finding it's not cutting it any more.

I run marathons so obviously I sweat a lot! Even when I'm only training I drip sweat and my foundation NEVER runs or blotches or moves unless I touch my face.
