Question
Do I need to place unit on charger after each use?

I debated about this but the instructions say you can leave it on the charger so I do. There are indicator lights which tell you when it is time to recharge it if you chose not to leave it on the charger but for convenience sake I leave mine on the charger wich is plugged in. When you initally receive it, it has to charge for 24 hours before use.

You do not need to place it in the charger after each use. One charge lasts me almost 2 weeks. I do store it in the charger, but the charger is unplugged.

Question
Worth the cost?
What's the biggest benefit for this product? What do you pair with it? I use Perricone MD's gentle cleanser and want to keep using it daily.

It's like getting a mini facial everyday. It's really refreshing and you can see your skin getting better day by day. It comes with a cleanser, but you can you use it with any cleanser. Just don't use any scrubs or cleanser's that are like scrubs. I couldn't compare it to any other product because there's nothing like it on the market. All I can compare it to is a facial.

Yes, it's worth the cost and will last you a very long time. The only thing you'll need to purchase for the brush over time is new brush heads ($25/ea). It gives you incredibly smooth and clean skin and can be paired with whatever cleanser you like best (although it is not suggested to use it with any grainy or exfoliating cleansers). It's my favorite skincare tool and works with or compliments my entire skincare regimen.

Question
Will it help my skin, since I don't have classic acne breakouts?
I've never had very bad regular acne breakouts like you see in the "before" pictures in the proactiv ads. I have the occasional breakout, but my main problem is white bumps all over my chin and spreading out from there. They aren't blackheads or acne; it's more like "whiteheads" and I guess just very very clogged pores. Exfoliating scrubs and acne treatments don't do much; the only thing that really helps is individually trying to squeeze them out which is very painful. Will the clarisonic actually help me?

Hello! I have occasional breakouts as well, but mine are like small red bumps. It might break you out at first like it did me, but my skin is starting to look baby smooth. It definitely brings the dirt and oil to the surface to make it easier to get the "whiteheads" out. Just don't get discouraged if it breaks you out at first. Give yourself 2-3 weeks.

You sound so much like me!!!! I also suffered with the occational "white" (when the little stringy strands come out while "popping!) painful when squeezing, but not cystic acne especially on my chin/forehead area.

Since investing in my clarisonic plus I have noticed a HUGE difference in my skin. It is smooth, clear, & vibrant....but most importantly I don't have to suffer with those annoying break outs nearly as much during my time of the month.

I love mine, and am SOOO glad I got the "Plus" version too, it's great on the arms & elbows as well. I'd say go for it & if it doesn't work for u just return it. I'd also highly advise using it along with Philosophy's skincare. The cleansers that came with mine didn't agree with me. I now use my purity at night & microdelivery wash mornings. I am convinced that by doing this & adding the WHINE serum & Hope in a Jar it has changed my skin completely.

Good Luck!!!

I have sensitive skin and everything breaks me out, and the sensitive brush is just fine for me. It's pretty soft when it's wet.

Hi, I only just got my Clarisonic and ordered the delicate brush head along with it. Loving it! You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

Anyway, the difference is in softness of the brush heads. The delicate skin brush is softer than the sensitive brush head. I have sensitive skin, and find that the brush head it comes with works fine for my face. The delicate skin brush head is super soft and would be great for broken out areas, or rosacea, or broken/visable capillaries on your face, or any areas that are feeling exceptionally sensitive.

I hope this helps answer your question! Cheers!

Question
Exfoliating..?
I know your supposed to exfoliate your skin about once a week, so does cleaning your face with this take the place of exfoliating? I am currently washing my face with purity.

I still exfoliate once or twice a week. I find that the Clarisonic brush head is pretty gentle, so it's alright for daily use. The lady that worked at Sephora told me that it does exfoliate your skin, so I don't think you really need to exfoliate anymore. I just do it because I like exfoliating my skin.. haha. Hope that helped!

I use this daily with the Purity Philosophy cleanser as well, so now I don't need to exfoliate separately. Using this daily works better than a weekly or twice-weekly exfoliant. I stopped using Micro Delivery Peel because I didn't need it anymore--my skin feels like that all the time now!

The regular Clarisonic is programed to beep to change to different areas of your face. I just have it on the regular set to beep, but I think there are 2 or 3 different ways to program the time for each section.

My consultant at Sephora said the multiple speeds are for "intense" cleaning. Since I'm 26, she recommended that I would NOT need that extra cleaning and advised the simple model with one speed. So determine how "needy" your skin is and go from there. Most people would probably only need the simple model.

I have minor acne scarring on my cheeks. I have to say that my combination of methods are working for me; this includes use of the clarisonic. I can't say for sure which one is working for which problem my skin is having, but feel free to read my review of this product under Melly2 to see what my regiment is. I would say that the clarisonic may be doing the majority of the work on my scars by sloughing off the dead skin making my skin appear much smoother. I love this product.

The Clarisonic will help to prevent breakouts and clogged pores by cleansing the skin 6x more thoroughly than standard cleansing, and also helps to stimulate circulation, as well as provide exfoliation to stimulate cell turnover.

With this in mind you should see an improvement in the tone and texture of the skin with use of this product, but for more dramatic retexturizing, alpha hydroxy peels and collagen-boosting products would also be helpful in your regimen, and we would also suggest using a daily sunscreen.

For more detailed product advice, please contact us at 877-SEPHORA (877-737-4672) so that we may help you to customize a regimen to suit your needs.

Hello! My mom is in her 40s with brownspots and some wrinkles. She's had her Clarisonic for about a month now, and the brownspots are less noticeable. I think after a few more weeks to months of use they will continue to be less noticeable. Her skin is also super soft and her skin tone is looking more even.

Here is a link to clinical photos regarding the improvement seen with use of the Clarisonic:

http://www.sephora.com/browse/brand...

The Clarisonic cleanses the skin 6x better than standard cleansing, stimulates circulation, and gently but thoroughly exfoliates the skin. All of these benefits do help to improve the tone and texture of the skin. In conjunction with sunscreen this product would be helpful in combatting sun damage, however a brightening serum would also be a helpful step in your regimen.

Question
Appropriate for dry skin?
I have very dry skin and eczema. I use corticosteroids to control the eczema and inflammation. The biggest issue I have is that my skin is very dry and dehydrated...specifically around my eyes and forehead. I have no visible pores and never acne. As a makeup artist I am very knowledgeable about skin care, but am reluctant to buy this product. I am worried about stripping the moisture from my skin, possible irritation, and over-exfoliation, which is not good for dry skin. Any advise?

Hello! You could try it out and return it before 30 days of the purchase date. There are 3 different brushes: Normal, Sensitive, and Delicate. I have really sensitive skin/combo/hormonal breakouts. I broke out with red bumps for about a week, and I'm just now clearing up (I've used my Clarisonic for about 2 weeks now). You could try it with the delicate brush. It's not supposed to over exfoliate your skin like the normal brush would. Hope this helps!

We recommend that you contact your doctor or dermatologist to confirm if this product is suitable for your needs.

If your dermatologist states that you can use it, we would suggest limiting use of the item to 3-4 times per week, which would be frequently enough to provide good exfoliation, thoroughly cleanse the skin, and stimulate circulation, but would not be likely to cause irritation due to over-exfoliation. You may also find that the Delicate brush head is better suited to your skin's needs, however starting off with the Sensitive brush head (which comes with this item) would be fine.

While this item is not designed to cleanse the eye area, and it can be used on the cheekbone (bordering the eye area) and above the eyebrows. You may enjoy their Opal Sonic Infusion System for cleansing/ treating the eye area, but we would also suggest speaking with your dermatologist before using this item.
