Questions & Answers for Clarisonic Skincare Brush

Question
Breakout
I bought my brush recently and have been using it ever since once a day. After using it for about 2 to 3 months my face started to breakout really bad and especially next to my ears, neck and chest. I am not sure if its from the brush or not. I paid alot of money for this brush and now I am having this issue. Does any one else have this problem?

Stop using this product. If you have acne, this products spreads the bacteria under your acne and spreads it around your face so you get more acne.

I use my Clarisonic with the Peter Thomas Roth Glycolic face wash. I used to get glycolic peels at a spa and my skin would glow! But i find that pairing the clarisonic with the PTR glycolic wash i get the same results! Hope this helps!

Question
Need for a toner?
Hi, I'm currently using the Clinique 3 step system - mild. I don't really feel like it's doing anything for my skin. Actually I think it's making my skin drier (I suffer from eczema too). My best friend recommended this product which I'm considering buying. Would I still need to do the 3 step system while using Clarisonic? I'd like to skip the toner as I don't think it's helping my skin.
I guess my main skin problem is dryness. I have combination skin and I break out once a month or so. Thanks! :)

I don't have to use a toner with this product. It takes off all your makeup of course if it makes your skin feel better to use a toner by all means.

The brushes are the same size and do the same thing, the Mia machine is simply smaller than the regular Clarisonic.

Question
Skin purging, how long did it last, and what did it look like?
I am 20 and feel like I grew out of my acne phase from high school. I havn't broken out since I've been in college (almost 3 years now) but wanted to improve my skin overall. I bought my clarisonic about a week ago. Immediately after using it (2 days) I broke out with cystic acne. Now (about a week later) I have red bumps that won't pop ALL over my face. I don't know if this is normal for purging, or if my skin is just too sensitive for the brush?

I'm curious to know of other people's 'purging' experiences? How long did it last? What did your purging look like?

I wish I would have known this before I spent the money on such an expensive product. I'm planning on giving it another 2 weeks (1 month total).
