Pro Acne Clearing Device

Pro Acne Clearing Device

What it is: Zeno(TM) is a hand-held, battery-powered medical device, cleared by the FDA, used to treat mild to moderate inflammatory acne pimples. Zeno works best when you first notice the signs of a new pimple. If used early, clinical trials have shown that pimples treated with Zeno can fade or disappear within just 24 hours. Just two to three treatment cycles of 2 1/2 minutes spread over 12 to 24 hours can help shorten a pimple's life cycle. What it does:Zeno applies a precisely controlled heat dose directly to the pimple through a metal pad. One treatment lasts 2 1/2 minutes. Two to three treatments spread over 24 hours clear up most pimples quickly. It's that simple. What else you need to know:The Zeno Pro has the highest usage capacity available without a prescription - double the number of uses of the original Zeno.*Due to the size of this product, we are unable to offer holiday packaging, however a gift message can be included with your delivery.

Though sephoras customer service seems to think the teal product is sold in stores, I have yet to find one (inluding all stores in Manhattan and Arkansas). The in-store employees said they stopped carrying the product a while ago. They implied that they are phasing out the product. Only found for near twice as much at Target or Walmart.

The zeno pro device sold elsewhere usually costs twice as much. The zeno at 79.00 is a steal, which is why I finally took the plunge and bought it here at sephora. Combine that with free shipping means you're probably not going to find it much cheaper this season.

Question
Does this work on all types of acne?
I get small white heads mostly but occasionally I get really deep, painful blemishes that take quite some time to heal. Will this help me?

The Zeno's meant for under-the-surface-bumps that haven't yet developed into pimples. I wouldn't recommend it personally, because it takes so much time per pimple and isn't that price-friendly over time. Skincare products like masks, cleansers, etc. work much better and much faster. I'd especially recommend DDF's Sulfur Mask - I've tried tons of products and this one is one of the most gentle and the most effective...plus, it's SO relaxing.

The Zeno pro comes with a recharging cord (it just plugs in to the wall) and one cartridge with 90 treatments. It also has a little leather case, which was a neat surprise. The packaging is really luxe; I felt like I was opening an ipod package or something.

No it doesn't hurt at all. It can get pretty warm. It never burned me or got so hot I had to take it off.

The Zeno should not inflict any pain or irritation when using it. The devise uses heat technology, therefore may feel hot to the touch or it may leave a red mark on the skin that should dissipate within a matter of seconds to minutes.

Question
Zeno Pro and MD replacement cartridges
Do the Zeno MD replacement cartridges work on the Zeno pro? I am comparison shopping for replacement tips, and the zeno md has 150 treatments. Even though they cost more, it would be more economical in the long run to affix an MD cartridge to my Pro since I wouldn't have to order as often and pay for shipping, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated!
