It sounds like you have the same hair type (white girl, coarse, thick, dry-ish, wavy/curly hair) as I do. You may want to try Carol's Daughter leave-in conditioners. They're inexpensive, smell awesome, and leaves your hair shiny, conditioned and smooth.
I use the Tui Leave-in Conditioner, and I love the results -- when air-drying my hair, I don't normally use it because it is so moisturizing, but it's perfect for blow-drying. Just spritz it all over your hair (3-6 sprays depending on how much you need), work through with your fingers, and blow dry as usual. Good luck! =)

I use it that way. It's really great with controlling frizz. After my daughter's hair drys, I put some on it again before I take her out and we have little-to-no flyaways.

I use this product before I use my diffuser. I work it in and then curl some pieces around my fingers.
