I've used both. The Light Stroke Brush does work better for under the eyes (aka with the Well-Rested powder) because it won't pack the powder like the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush and therefore will have a less tendency to have the powder look cakey. However, if you already have the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush, then then brush isn't necessary. The Light Stroke Brush was originally released with for the Natural Light Duo, which doesn't appear to available anymore.

I have both brushes and I would say the Max Concealer brush is more of typical concealer brush. The bristles are soft but also a little bit stiffer. I use it for covering dark under eye circles or a larger area to conceal blemishes on my face. The Light Stroke brush is slightly wider than the concealer brush and slightly more dense, and very soft bristles also. You can use this brush for mineral powders, all over eye color, or you could also use it for concealing. In person they actually do look different and serve as multi-purpose brushes. Both are great. Hope that helps.

I haven't personally tried the maximum concealer brush but I know for sure that the light stroke brush is included in the tan (might be new mine had it), dark and deep get started kits. I think that most likely since the brush would be handling "heavier" pigments it may pick up less powder. I'm sorry if this is too much of a help.

YES!!!! I love this brush. It really makes a difference when covering something up. I'm a light skinned Mexican with freckles and I use it to cover them up.

I say that because it's now added in the get started kits and it's the same price as the Maximum Concealer Brush it wouldn't hurt to get the Light Stroke Brush. However, if you already possess the Maximum Concealer Brush I would not advise buying it since some commentors on the Light Stroke Brush have stated the results are similar or exact. But all have been satisfied with their results and hopefully you will too!

Question
Use?
The info explaining how to use this brush says it is for "Natural Light Face Lifting Duo." Is that an obsolete product now? Is this brush for concealer and eye shadow? What else can it be used for?

I couldn't find the suggested BM product for this either. It works very well with bareMinerals' Broad Spectrum Multi-Tasking Face (their powder concealer), and is advertised on the brand site as such. I am not sure about other products, I've only used it with powder concealer so far, and it gives great application. I would suggest it for even coverage of powders, but if you're applying blush or bronzer otherwise it may be too small/precise for that.

The Natural Light Face Lifting Duo has been discontinued and we apologize for any confusion caused by this item being mentioned in the description.

Light Stroke Brush can be used to apply and blend eye shadow, highlighter (shimmer) as well as the Bisques (Bare Minerals various shades of concealer); in addition this item can be used to apply liquid foundation if desired.
