These pencils are amazing and the only way to get more out of the product is to get the Urban Decay sharpener. It's totally worth the $20 that it cost because it's also the best sharpener for their concealer pencils.

These are sharpened old school style. With a pencil sharpener. However, if you want to avoid the pencil breaking, you can put it in the fridge for a few minutes before you sharpen it. That will toughen up the liner and help prevent the tip from breaking.

I always use my pinky - clean, of course. Within the first 30 seconds of applying the pencil, it is highly blendable. After that, it sort of dries down to a waterproof finish that stays put for most of the day.

Good eyeliner for my wedding?
I am getting married this summer and I am looking for a good eyeliner that will stay on throughout the day. If I cry is it going to smear everywhere? Also, by the end of the day does it stay put or does it smudge around the eyes?

On my own eyes, this stays all day. I usually have a solid 9 hour day before I remove my makeup, and this always seems to be intact. Plus its super hard to remove if you don't use an oil based remover.

I have found this to be the best pencil for water resistance, It will still rub off if you are rubbing often and vigorously, but if you are dabbing gently with Kleenex you'll be fine. remember to use slightly darker make up for photos! My eyes are a little close so I use a darker color at the outer corners. The inner corners are light or without liner at all.
Best Wishes on your future together!

For brown eyes, I would not go with a normal color (ex. black, brown, gray). I would go with a royal blue, purple, evergreen. Depending on how dark your brown eyes are will determine the pigmentation that would be best for you. If you have light brown eyes, I would go with a dark eyeliner. If your eyes are dark brown, I would go with a light eyeliner. If you are confused about this even after reading the comments, I recommend going to your local Sephora, and asking somebody there. They are trained in make-up, and they know what is best. :)

I love bourbon for my brown eyes. I also use 1999. It's a little light but it has great shimmer. So, I line my lower lids with bourbon and my upper lids also get bourbon but topped with a little 1999. The brown underneath helps the purple pop.

I have tried 1999 (light smoky purple) and felt that the color was too light for my brown eyes so I switched to Rockstar (a darker smoky purple) - gorgeous! The Deviant (blue) is a great color that will make your brown eyes pop out. Try a light pink or neutral shimmery UD shadow such as Chopper and line with Deviant for a WOW effect. With my dark brown eyes I also use the Bourbon if I am being more conservative. I also have smaller eyes so I NEVER line my lower lash - only the top and give it a small wing at the outer corner. My twin sis lines the top and bottom and it gives the illusion of a tiny squinty eye.

I also have brown eyes and have pretty much tried all the colors. Electric is a very bright aquamarine that I have added to the smokey look. I used it on the corners of the eyes (just for that hint of color). I've gotten compliments on the color and how it was just a hint and not an allover lined eye. Honestly, if you line your eyes with the aquamarine, your eyes will definitely pop, but it'd look like you stepped out of an 80s movie. LOL Gunmental and Dime are two colors I have used in my darker smokey looks. In the summer, I used the bronze/gold colors (baked, lucky and honey) in the inner/corner of the eyes for that bold pop. I really just tried experimenting and liked some of the looks. Other bold colors I liked/have: covet and rockstar. My brown smokey shadow looked great with Bourbon. The choices are endless. I wish I had pics to post. The black liner (Zero) is great --very rich black. The white one (Yeyo) is great too (very stark, very bold), but I would not recommend it for the waterline (especially if you wear contacts... trust me). These liners really last, so a night out with them, your eyes will be the guest of honor (or at least the talk of the evening) :-)

Lots of choices out there now with all the waterproof (finally!) creamy pencils...my eyes are green/hazel,but a bronzey color would work on brown as well ( I think...) I also use a light blue, teal green, or a light, silvery purple, depending on my mood and destination. But I usually start with a black close to the lash line, and put the color on above that. All the great new colors and inexpensive prices make it so much fun to experiment.

I am not sure if I have oily lids, but I have used this product and it does smudge into my crease and go down my face IF I don't use primer, if I don't set it with eyeshadow, and if I don't set it with setting spray. I am paranoid about panda eyes so I use all of the above and couldn't tell you which one is actually effective.

It also depends on the color. I found that their Vice purple does not smudge, but their blacks do.

I have pretty oily skin (eyelid too) and I still love this product, it works great. You have to wait for it to "set on your skin" a little if you have oily skin though (less than 1 minute).

answer 4
Well, if you have really oily skin you want to put it on and avoid touching it at all for about a minute. From there, it will stay on for a few hours. If you're not super sweaty and active, it stays on for about 8 hours nicely, I find. If you are super sweaty and active, it's more like 3, for me. After that it gets a little faded, but as long as you don't rub it it stays in place pretty good. But it does become "vulnerable" after a few hours.

answer 6
If gel liner smudges on your oily lids, than this pencil most likely will, too. I find that the 24/7 liner pencil stands up to its name when used with a good eye primer on the lid, then eyeshadow, then the 24/7 liner on top. Another way to prolong its wear is to take an angled eyeliner brush and dust a little bit of powder eyeshadow on top of the line. I have oily lids, and both of these tricks work for me. :)
