Urban Decay sells a sharpener called Grind House. I think it's around $10 which does seem expensive when you compare it to drug store prices, but the quality of this sharpener is superb. When I first started using these pencils, I used a regular sharpener and it destroyed the pencils...I gave up using them until I broke down and bought Grind House :) It works like a charm.

I am blonde with fair skin with grey/hazel eyes. My absolute favorite is Underground. I also love all of the brown shades (Demolition, Bourbon) with Lucky and El Dorado for a nice pop (especially with Rockstar).

Rockstar is my absolute favorite and the color I choose when I'm in a hurry and don't want to have to think too much about my eyeliner.
I love Zero and Bourbon as neutral but have recently discovered Underground too.
So hard to pick a favorite. With the wilder colors it sometimes just depends on my mood or my other make up colors.

I love the color and the sparkle of all the purple colors, but I'd have to say 1999 is my favorite. Its deep plum color really brings out my green eyes and goes perfectly with my favorite sephora collection colorful palette: Eternally Purple. It's the perfect dramatic eye look for anyone with green or hazel eyes.

Rockstar is amazingly amazingly amazing, as you can see from the other answers. It's a dark purple, so the undertones are extremely flattering but it's quite dark so it doesn't scream purple. The texture is great, the color isn't tacky at all. I use it quite liberally on my upper lashline and do a tiny little wing and it's very very pretty. I have medium skin, black lashes, and dark brown eyes, by the way.

i love zero gunmetal underground and crash, but by far mildew is gourgeous!!!!!! any eyecolor u have (i have blue wit greenish yellow color around the pupil) and it makes my eyes pop its soo pretty

Bourbon, Mildew, and Stash are my all time favorites. Lust is really terrific, too, as are many of the others, but those first three do so much for my eyes.

Bourbon is great for defining your eyes if you line nice and closely to your upper lashline. Honey is great if you put it on your lower lash line and smudge it a bit. It's pretty natural and adds a great sparkle.

Black is my personal fave. Sounds boring I know but I love the dramatic look it gives my eyes. White, on the inner rims of the eye, will wake up the eyes it you have been up to late.

I only have Zero which is the black. Which is my favorite black liner on the market.
I really dont like colored liners, but because these are so creamy and they have great colors I want them all!
I wouldnt use them as a liner though, I would use them as a base under my eyeshadow to make the colors pop!

My favorite color is lust, a medium purple color. I like it best because I wear it as eyeshadow with the glitter gel on top. The color behind the glitter helps it standout better.

I really like gunmetal. It has sparkle, but darker not glitzy. More for everyday use. Little bits of the sparkle end up all around my eyes though (very subtle). My sister thought it looked pretty that way.

Lucky (deep copper) Item # 893222 is the shade I like best! It makes the eyes "pop" especially if green or blue. I have fair skin, red hair and green eyes but this is also a pretty shade for a medium brunette or warm blonde with light eyes.

The pencil glides on smoothly and has the right amount of firmness. You do not have to apply too much pressure to apply this eyeliner.

This pencil is very creamy and soft when you apply it to your eyes, however it will not crumble or break when you sharpen it. I just use a normal makeup pencil sharpener and I've had no problems sharpening it.

It is extremely creamy, but won't crumble unless you're pretty rough when you sharpen it. Oversharpening will probably break it, one rotation is usually good enough for me. But the pencil itself is pretty durable and amazingly smooth, the texture is absolutely amazing. I have yet to find a pencil that compares, buy it!

I love the creaminess of this product. It is perfect. The hard pencils are rough on your eyes, but this one smudges easy if that is what you want, but also stays in place for a long time too.

It's creamy and glides on super smoothly. It does smudge a bit and it gets dull a bit more quickly than other pencils, but this eye pencil is my absolute favorite! It gives you a dramatic look, so at least your eyes can still make a statement even when your makeup is natural.

these eyeliners are creamy but while i have had them they haven't melted even when i left them in the car. They glide onto your eyelid eaisily and the part that i love the most is it isn't super hard and they are waterproof.

This may be personal preference...I find these pencils to be just right...neither too hard nor too soft. I find them to be creamy and easy to apply, no pulling or tugging. I have not had problems with breakage or with melting. (Even after sharpening, I have not had problems with the tip breaking off, like a crayon does!) The color lasts all day on me, I use Urban Decay Primer Potion and have never had a problem.

The eyeliner is very soft and creamy. I would not leave it anywhere it could melt (hot car, outside in a purse). I have never tried putting it in the freezer, so I can't recommend it. The eyeliner glides on soft and creamy and dries to a smudge-proof, water-proof finish. In the 1 minute it takes to dry, you can easily remove smudges, mistakes, etc. I hope this helps. Also, make sure you have a good sharpener. I had to find the right sharpener to make a nice sharp point.

they ARE on the softer side but i've never had one break and i've used probably at least a dozen. they're almost creamy when you apply them and you can smudge them at first but then it lasts all day and night.

They won't tug on your eyes. Go on smooth. Easy to apply, easy to blend. Stays on. Wouldn't say it's hard. Has a little shimmer or glitter to it, only enhances your eyes. I used it right before a No Doubt concert. My first time trying it, but not my last. I tried it in Zero and Underground. Underground is more of a dark brown, and Zero is black. With my light hazel eyes and fair skin, it looked awesome. Worth the price.

I would say they're more soft than average eyeliners, but they're not squishy either. It's a great gel feel that glides on without having to press too hard. If you don't like the amount applied, you blend over the same area again without it looking messy. It's also easy to wipe off excess (just wipe off the extra before it has time to dry).
I have a couple of these and would def. go back to purchase more colors.

They are creamy in texture but I leave them in my bag in the car at high temps and they don't melt. The advantage of the creaminess is in the application as there is no tugging or pulling and it sets down intense color in a nice line that can be smudged or blended or extended in a wing with a brush before it sets. I haven't tried the fridge but I'm sure that would help when sharpening.

These pencils are on the softer side, but they glide on amazingly smooth. I have not had trouble with them melting or breaking, and I put mine in the refrigerator to harden up a bit when I want a really crisp line. These are fantastic for blending, also though. they blend out really well, then set and stay on forever. I really love this product and I can't recommend it highly enough!

Well...these eyeliners are firm enough that you can sharpen them...but they are quite creamy considoring they have to 'glide on' your eye. Mine so far hasn't broken, and it is pretty creamy! Everyone RAVES about how creamy it is...and I dont think its super creamy...but creamy enough. You definitely can put eye pencils in the freezer...and it willl maintance it's pigmentation. Do this trick if the pencil gets too soft to sharpen...that way when you pop it out you can easily sharpen it with no hassel!

The pencil is soft enough to go on gently but not so soft that you can crush it easily. I've left mine in a hot car before and it had no effect. I haven't tried putting in the freezer. I don't see any point with this product because the color goes on as strong as a pigment and anything hard tipped will promote wrinkles and saggy lids!

This pencil is just the right firmness... it goes on VERY EASILY and is creamy, it will not tug on your eyes in the slightest. However, personally I don't think the colors are bold enough and they don't have a lot of staying power. Everyone's different though!

I also have brown eyes and last night I put electric (teal blue) on my water line and ransom (purply blue) rimming the edges and I loved it with my brown eyes. (so did my husband)

Zero (black) in combination with El Dorado (gold) will help reflect the natural golden tones in dark brown eyes. Alternatively, purples contrast browns extremely well. So try 1999, Rockstar, and that other plum one until you decide what works best with your skin tone and style.

I also have brown eyes, and my favorites are "bourbon" and "rockstar". bourbon makes my eyes look "chocolate brown" and I love the subtle shimmer! I love rockstar,especially when I do a smokey eye and than I smudge the line on my upper lash line. I also own zero and underground. underground is great when I want a subtle line. I really want to get 1999 after reading the revies here...

either baked, lucky, or underground (and that gold color that i cant think of the name right now). you want to go with colors that highlight your eye color, so it stands out. stay away from black, blue, and green. i ahve blue eyes, so i use electric to make them stand out!

I use Rockstar and absolutely LOOOOVE it. A nice thick line on the upper lashline really makes the eyes look nice and wide. It's quite dark so it doesn't scream purple, but the undertones help bring out the brown. Honey (now discontinued :( but you can use El Dorado probably) brought amazing light to my eyes because, as you know, dark brown eyes can sometimes look a bit dull.

Rockstar vs. 1999:
Rockstar is darker and has a blue tint to it. If you can't bear french blue next to your brown eyes, skip Rockstar. (It made my eyes dull and blackish).
1999 is more plummy. It worked better for bringing out the light in my brown eyes. If you don't do well with peaches and plums, then this will not work for you.

I have dark brown eyes as well and I usually use Zero because I think it makes my eyes look larger and more pronounced than Bourbon or Underground, as they are subtle browns. If you are willing to try color, test out Zero along your waterline and Deviant on your upper lash line. This will draw attention to your eyes and make them pop. Purples always look great with my dark brown eyes as well. :)

Almost all of the purples and greens make my dark brown eyes stand out. A good combination would be Mildew liner paired with a peachy shimmer eye shadow.

Try 1999, it looks gorgeous on nearly every complexion and eye color. You can apply it lightly for a more natural look or do a second coat if you want to look really dramatic. It's one of those rare shades that can make you look naturally beautiful and fun and dramatic at the same time.

I would think that either of the purple colors (I think that there are two) would look great. The bright purple with a blue thing in it is more dramatic, and the darker, almost merlot colored is more day to day I think.

Try different shades of purple. Purple does wonders with brown eyes and always knows how to make them pop! Also, you can never go wrong with black (Zero). Personally, I swear by Rockstar because it plays up the little hints of green I have in my eyes.

depending on your skin coloring, "stash" might look amazing... it's a subtle greenish brownish taupe shade... "bourbon" looks good on everyone... having dk brown eyes though, you could also use any of the bright colors depending on what you like.

I find that I have to use Make Up Forever's Sens' Eyes remover to get it all off. NOTHING stands up to that. I tried using cheaper drug store brand eye make-up removers, but I practically scrubbed my eyes and this stuff barely budged. But usually I DO need this stuff to last 24 hours in all kinds of weather, so I like that for me. =)

It is a little difficult to remove for me with regular make up removers, but no makeup (waterproof or otherwise) can stand up to the removing power of plain baby oil. Baby oil gets rid of everything...no problem. Some people can't stand the greasy feel, but with a good face wash, the baby oil will come right off. Problem solved!

This eyeliner is not fadeproof Its too creamy was not hard to remove I don't recommend. For fade proof eyeliner i suggest using any eye pencil and a dark eyeshadow or your preference. With an eyeliner brush wet the shadow and apply it over the eye pencil. Works great for all day wear.

2. Line your eye and let dry for 30-40 seconds, then line again, dry another 30-30 seconds.
3. Once the double layers are dry then dust with an oil-free translucent loose powder. Any brand will work as long as it's oil-free. Then you are done!
I have done this step several times before working out, dancing, and a crazy night on the town with my girlfriends. The trick is to let it dry between coats. Don't shy away from the brighter colors, they really pop in the evening and go well with a natuaral makeup look.

I've not had them fade or run in all the time I've used them. My daughter uses them also and loves how they stay put even when working outside in the heat.
I would recommend getting it as close to your lashes as you can so that it doesn't get covered if your lids are a bit heavy.

I think this is fade proof. It sounds like you may need a primer though. Urban Decay Primer Potion is a good one, or Too Faced Shadow Insurance. My shadows/liners don't budge with either!

The Urban Decay "Grind House" sharpener works best however... if you put any cosmetic pencil in the freezer for a few minutes, you can use ANY sharpener that "fits" for a smooth point without grinding the whole pencil away. The cold makes the pencil harder temporarily. It does not effective application. Plus you can always warm it back up between your fingers before applying.

I know this sounds impossible, but my eyes change colors.. Seriously weird.. They're green with golden brown flecks, then blue and grey depending on the day! But the gold always stays there.. To make your eyes really POP, I suggest the white liner under your lower lash line, around your tear ducts, and on your upper lid. Then apply a darker color or your water line and your lid so that the white still shows.. I find that the purples really do make green eyes stand out! Also the brighter blues make your green eyes appear brighter! Since you have brown in your eyes too, I also suggest darker greens, too!!! These colors are all SUPER pretty and unique, I'd get them all if I could just to see what they'd look like haha:)

I totally agree that purples look great on people with green in their eyes. It sounds like you have some green and some brown in your eyes so I would also reccomend the color Stash. Its a dark green with gold and it will compliment your eyes well I think. Good luck gorgeous :-)

I would try Stash, Lust, Lucky, Rockstar, 1999, Bourbon, Deviant or Covet. I have hazel eyes and these colors compliment my eyes. Lust, Rockstar,1999, Stash, Deviant and Covet will emphasize the green in your eyes. Lucky and Bourbon will help bring out the duality in your eye color. All these liners can be applied lighter or darker depending on your mood. I don't find them to be overly glittery, but some shade can be bright (which is fun).

My eyes change color too on the hazel scale, from the deeper greens to grey, and sometimes they're a shade of brown. I go with neutral colors for the most part when it comes to most of my eye make-up, but when I really want my eye color to pop, I use blues, greens, and purples in the crease and to line. For some reason, they just makes the green come out all the better. Try the 24/7 liner in a shade like I described and to spark things up, swipe two coats of Urban Decay Heavy Metal over any of the liners or over your shadow.

Everyone always seems to say bronzy colors are best for blue eyes, but for eyeliner I like grey and eggplant for because they give you more definition. Try Urban Decay 24/7 in Rockstar for your eyeliner. You can use a bronzy color on your eyelids and a deep purple in the crease.
