Worth the money?

I'm really interested in this perfume! I'm not really a perfume expert, but I've been smelling this in the ad that comes in a lot of magazines, and it smells SO good there, but does it smell like that in real life?
I was thinking of getting the cheaper "to go" (1 oz) version, but it's still kind of expensive so I just wanted to make sure that the scent in the ad is actually what it smells like. I also realize that it might end up smelling different when it reacts with my personal body chemistry, but I would still like to make sure first that it's pretty similar to the ad.
I'm a senior in high school and looking for a fresh and girly scent. Right now I use Lavanilla's Vanilla Grapefruit perfume which I LOVE but since I'm running out I wanted to give this a try as well, especially with the raving reviews and all. Thanks!

Of course a great investment in your home and collection of perfumes if you are like me. Try it and if your not satisfield sephora has a great return policy so you won't feel guilty if you didn't like it.

I think you will definately like it. I don't think it's girly smelling at all. It smells better than in the ads. You can drop by the Sephora store and they'll make you a sample which you can take home. You can buy it and always return it if you don't like it. Also, I would suggest buying a gift set (much better value).

Definitely worth the money, its a sweet scent, but not sickly sweet, or too musky, its a great light scent, whenever I wear it I always get told, by every and anyone, that I smell amazing. I would suggest going to a store that sells Dior make up, and spray some on you and walk around for the day and see if it works for you.

It really depends on if you, yourself, thinks it's worth it. There's no harm in trying it out in stores or just getting a sample of it and try it out for a week or so! It's usually hard to find the perfect fragrance, so if it's something that you really enjoy and it makes you feel good, then it's DEFINITELY worth it!

Try it - you can't go wrong since Sephora has a fabulous return policy. If the scent doesn't work on you - just return it. It's a delicious scent though - my favorite. I'm on my second bottle now.

I would not classify this scent as fresh. It is however girly. I would say yes..it does smell pretty much the same as those perfume adds in magazines. For some reason the Patchouli note comes out stronger in real life. It really is a lovely scent...just don't over do it.

It all depends on how much and how often you wear it. I do not wear mine very often and I use 1 squirt at a time, so I have had my bottle for over a year.

A little goes a VERY long way, and LASTS, so the 1 oz. bottle could well last 1/2 year. You should be fine with the smaller size- My 15 yr. old has the 1 oz. size. It's gorgeous! Enjoy :)

It all depends on how much you spray and how your body carries it. This is something no one can answer but you. Go and spray it on in the store and see if you'll have to reapply later or not. I have to reapply every hour. So my bottle doesn't last but my friends lasts all day with a couple of sprays.

There are two different Miss Cherie perfumes, one is the Eau de Parfum, a golden yellow colour, and the other Eau de Toilette, a pretty pink colour.
Parfum based perfumes are stronger and last longer and do not require more than one spray or one application throughout the day I find they generally smell better, a touch sweeter. Eau de Toilettes are water or alcohol based, and are much lighter in scent and don't last as long and the scent isn't always as sweet.

I seem to find fragrant lotions have a bit lighter scent than the actual perfumes but, if you layer lotion first then perfume the scent will last twice as long.

My daughter wanted the above perfume. However she specified that it was the one with a ribbon. I have received the order but I am not sure if I ordered the correct one. (the one with the ribbon)
I don't want to tear the plastic off the box.

Yes, the Miss Dior Cherie is the one with the ribbon. I would leave the plastic on until you give it to her, just to make sure because the Cherie line has 3 different ones. There is a yellow, green, and pink perfume, but the yellow (Miss Dior Cherie) is the most common and best smelling.

Personally I wear this all year round. It's more of a fall/summer scent but I've worn it during the winter because it reminds me of the warm weather lol. It's soft, sweet, floral and woodsy.

This is absolutely GORGEOUS on the skin, in the EDP ( pale peach color juice), and a little goes a long way in this entire line of scents- Meaning whichever you choose, will last a good long time. I'm very scent-sensitive, & I do not care for the EDT nor the "L'eau" version. But I'm older (40's), well-established career, & I'm fortunate to be able to purchase any scent I like (within reason!), & the EDP is my own personal preference... Treat yourself to whichever version makes you happy :) Happy holidays!

Both are wonderful anything from doir is great. The perfume will always compliment the mood your. The scent is refreshing to say the least so it would just have people wondering what is that delightful scent they are smelling. You will say its me and walk away making them wonder the name.

The smells are absolutely the same. You smelled Eau de Toilette. The Eau de Perfume is stronger and lasts longer. You can always buy Eau de Perfume and dilute it with alcohol. The difference in Eau de Toilette is that it has greater alcohol to perfume ratio.

The golden coloured Miss Dior Cherie is the Eau de Parfum, so its a richer sweeter, longer lasting scent. I love it because it lasts the entire day but without knocking anyone out with the smell.

The pink one has less smells in it so if you like a less packed up smell the pink is best for you and they describe the pink as like a version of the original but more for the spring. Hope this helps you out!!!

Yes it can be. Mine came off very easily, but is much more difficult to put back on. It doesn't fit on my finger as a ring but I can imagine it would fit on others.

Ive herd that it can I own this exact perfume and it seems to me like you can get it off but it would be easy to break ...plus the band would be quite large so unless you have big fingers I think its probabaly best on the bottle ...which kinda sucks because it would be a super cute ring but it makes the bottle look nice !!

The description is the 2011 version. It launched March 2011. The reviews are mixed between old and new versions for reviews in 2011. They should have started new since the old version is discontinued. The bottles and labels are the same between the old and new versions.

This year, (2011), Dior issued a reformulation and the scent is TOTALLY different. That unique caramel popcorn note that I love so much in the original is not in the new one. Also, this new version is not nearly as long lasting and the price was increased! I am desperate to find the original formula because once every bottle is gone, it will never be available again.

Yes, it's very hard to find the older version but I believe it's still out there. It took me a while to find it. I found one 3.4oz in Macy's, not all Macy's still have them. Also, got one 1.7oz from Sephora. Good luck.

You are absolutely right!! They totally redid the formula and it doesn't smell the same and doesn't last longer. They should have left it alone!! I hate when companies do that!! Ugh!! To make matters worse, I can't find the 2005 version myself. This was my ABSOLUTE favorite fragrance. The carmelized popcorn and strawberry leaves are what made the fragrance stand out!! If you can find the 2005 version let me know. I was going to buy two large bottles for my upcoming birthday, but now it will be CHANEL fragrances because they last!!

As of 10/22/11 Fragrancenet.com still has the older version's description and picture listed. I have used them before (but not for this particular scent) and was impressed with their selection and prices. Usually their prices are a little lower than a retail store but for the older Miss Dior Cherie you will basically pay the normal price since it seems to be a much sought after discontinued scent.
