Yes it has shimmer, but honestly it's really only noticeable if you're out in the sun - it has pink and orange tiny sparkles. I wear this to work.

No, this is not very shimmery at all. Just looking at it, you can only see a slight hint of shimmer, mostly it looks like a matte rosy bronze.

I dont think its very shimmery... More matte if anything.. I have acne scars and try to stay away from any blush/bronzers that are shimmery because it only highlights them more... & this has def NOT done anything bad to my scars.. if anything it doesn't even show them!

This is not shimmery at all. It feels very matte and velvety. It is not very bronzey. It will make you face look pink, which is why I use it only as a blush. Hoola is more of a bronzer in this same brand.

This has a tiny bit of shimmer, not enough so you actually notice it's 'shimmery', just enough to give you a natural looking sheen, in my opinion. I've been using this for a while, and I knew it looked good, but I didn't actually notice until today that it contained shimmer at all. I leaned in super close to the mirror and looked at it up close, and realized it IS a little shimmery... I was like ohhhh THAT'S why I glow.

It has a rosy tint to it, but don't let that fool you. It's more of a bronzer. The pinkish undertones help it look more natural and blend, instead of contrasting with your skin like some bronzers can.

I have fair to light skin. This is not dark at all. It's very subtle. I'm personally in love with this, and I'm using it as a blush. I've been looking past Dallas in the store - assuming it wasn't the "right" color for me for a while. Last week a sales associate asked to try something out on me, and he applied Dallas as blush and Girl Meets Pearl to highlight. It was stunning - LOVED it! I've been using it as a blush all week, usually alone and it is just as stunning w/o a highlighter. For me, it was a really pleasant surprise!

I think I have the same coloring as you, and I don't think it will be too dark as long as you use with a light hand. Its got a bronzy cast to it, which in my mind gives a bit of a tanned/sunburnt flush.

I think this product would work on your skin tone. I have a medium skin tone with yellow undertones (for reference, I use Clinique's foundation in Vanilla) and I find it looks natural on me. I think the pink hues prevent it from looking dirty or too dark, which I feel happens a lot on my skin. I feel like Dallas could really look good on just about anyone.

Nope! I've used it to do wedding makeup on white-as-ghost girls and ones who'd been tanning for months before the wedding. It really does look good on pretty much everyone. The trick is in the application-- a little bit really does go a long way, so if you are fairer you probably don't want to load up your brush. You can always build the coverage, but I'd recommend starting off with just a light wash and seeing how you like it.

My complexion is a little lighter than your description (I'm definitely on the fair side, with yellow undertones so not porcelain) and I find this to be perfect, if a little dark. I think that being a little darker, in fact, would make me a bigger fan of the shade as I find I need to use a very light hand to get the color right on me.

In my opinion, Dallas is much more natural-looking for someone who is not starting out looking very bronze. It's got a subtle rosy color to it, so it blends more with your skin tone and doesn't look as fake as Hoola does. If you already have a tan, Hoola may work just as well for you.

Hoola is a MATTE tan/brown color. Dallas is a SHIMMERY bronze/rose/gold.

Hoola is great for contouring and all-over matte color. Dallas works well as a blush or a "glowy" all-over shimmer if you use a light touch. Due to the shimmer, I would not recommend Dallas as a contour color. Depending on your skintone, Dallas may also work as a shimmery bronzer - however it may look too pinkish on some skintones.

I bought Dallas first, but I find myself using Hoola on a more daily basis. Dallas is very pretty, it just depends on what you are looking for in a product.

I personally think that this powder would be better used as a blush/highlighter rather than an all over bronzer, due to the shimmer in it. If you are looking for an all over bronzer for olive skin, I highly highly suggest Benefits Hoola. It is a wonderful matte natural-light brown color and works wonders as an all over bronzer. I swear by it. Give it a try - you will NOT be disappointed :)

I've always been very pale, have to use the lightest foundation whch is sometimes too dark, etc. and even if I have a tan I just look "normal". I love this blush, especially in winter becasue it gives me a sunny glow. I'd say give it a try, if you don't like it you can always send it back. Just use a light hand with it because it is highly pigmented.

I have very, very fair skin, and this is soft enough not to be too much color. You might consider using a round/blush brush, though, as the flat brush that comes inside the box puts down a little too much concentrated color for my tastes -- but that's the brush, not the blush color, in my opinion.
