Yes, I would definitely begin using it to treat already existing ingrown hairs and also to prevent them as well. It seems to help with both in my experience.

Yes, you can use on bikini. But I also use this with salt/sugar scrub to help exfoliate. You have to be patient. It will take a couple of months.

Yes, this will clear them. You might also want to try Shaveworks' The Cool Fix. It works really well for clearing existing bumps but doesn't really prevent them the way Tend Skin does.

The product is in a base of isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol which might dry out your bumps. Certainly repeated use will prevent them.

In my experience, Tend Skin absolutely reduces ingrown hairs. It is the only reason that I use the product. Some may suggest that you use it everyday, but I use it every other and that works well for me. When I run out of the product, I am plagued with ingrown hairs. You should give it a try!

Yes! That is exactly what this product is intended for. And it does such a good job! I recommend getting flat cotton squares rather than cotton balls, the balls tend to shred up if you have any stubble while applying this.

Question
Is this for daily use or just until the bumps go away?
I'm asking this because I don't get waxed that often so I'm trying to decide if I should get a big bottle or a medium one since I'm not going to use it everyday only after I get waxed or shave and I find bumps, that is, unless it is supposed to be used daily.

For bumps, I strongly recommend Aquaphor Healing Ointment from Eucerin. It's advanced therapy for dry, cracked, or irritated skin. I apply it right after the hair removal, and the next day I'm bumps free. It's way much faster and effective than Tend Skin; plus, you only use it after hair removal, not every day. It is widely used by laser hair removal specialists, and works brilliantly for bumps.

If you are using it after shaving your legs, I suggest using just for a couple days after, I use it after my brazillian waxes to avoid the chance of ingrown hairs. I say get a big bottle since you will just have to replace it less.

I have used Tend Skin for a few days after a wax treatment, until skin looked ok, and then stopped. I have also tried using it every day between waxing (4-6 weeks) even if skin looked good. It is definitely more effective when used every day. Sometimes ingrown hairs take weeks to develop--not just immediately after hair removal. If you use Tend Skin every day it will do a better job at keeping the ingrowns at bay. Hope this helps!

For me it lasts a long time. Simply apply a few drops to a cotton ball after shaving and apply... Each bottle lasts me several months. Even if you used it every day (which may be overdoing it in my humble opinion) it'd still last at least 2 months I'd imagine. A little goes a long way.

If you follow the directions on the bottle and apply it using a cotton ball, it doesn't last long at all...two weeks maybe? The cotton ball seems to soak up too much of the product. I recommend buying the roll on applicator and using that to apply the product. It's much less wasteful and you can refill it. It lasts more than twice and long if you do this.

I use mine almost every other day for regular maintenance, and every day post- wax, and also immediately after shaving. With that much usage, the large bottle usually runs out around the time it expires, so there's really no waste and it is very economical.

With regular usage, your ingrown hairs will come closer to the surface and some will eventually push their way back out. Some may need to be assisted with a pair of needle nose tweezers. It depends how severe the ingrown hairs are or how coarse the hair is.

I've used this sparingly on a problem or cystic pimple and it has worked however it's not specifically designed for acne and might be harsh to someone with sensitive facial skin. However, if you tend to get 1-2 pimples, it might work well...depends on your skin. Definitely worth getting for underarms, bikini line, etc. It's a strong product so I would not recommend putting on your whole face or a large portion of your face without testing your sensitivity to it first.

I don't think it will help with acne unless it's waxing/shaving related. Sometimes when I wax my, ahem, moustache area I get little whiteheads from that and it will prevent those, but it won't just help acne. Try the Murad products, those worked pretty well for me.

You can use Tend Skin as a deodorant. If you go to Tend Skin's website you'll see that they actually make this in a solid form because it works so well as a deodorant. Also, women with "feminine odor" have told me it works really well for that too lol

You can put your regular deodorant on over this if it smells nicer but you don't even need it.

There are strong acids such as salicylic acid in this product that will actually get stronger with time so you could "burn" your skin. I would not recomend using it. I would also be weary of how the other ingredients would break down in this product over time.

Tend Skin is no longer effective two years past the expiration date. This is due to the chemical changes in the product. Tend Skin contains water, a natural (an unavoidable) impurity in the isopropyl alcohol ingredient. Water actually reacts with the another ingredient, acetylsalicylic acid, breaking it down to less useful salicylic acid over a period of several weeks. This chemical breakdown is why there is an expiration date printed on every bottle of Tend Skin.

Yes! Especially if you are prone to ingrown hairs. Be careful not to put it on any genital area, though. Right after a wax, usage may sting a little, but it is bearable and quickly dissipates. This product is perfect at- home care for a Brazilian service.

I would really recommend not to use this product following a chemical hair remover. Skin can be really sensitive from those products already and you're really just adding chemical upon chemical. This product also has a higher alcohol content (ie. rubbing alcohol) so that could cause an unpleasant reaction. I'd recommend something with aloe in it.

I'm not sure if I have the same types of bumps, but whenever I shave my legs, my thighs do get these little red bumps, which are like filled hair follicles. I don't get many, but they're still unsightly so I did try tend skin on them and the bumps flattened and are significantly less noticeable. You may want to test out the smallest bottle or the roll-on first.
