This cleanser has a really light flowery clean scent. It's feint but smells really good, and you can only smell it when you're washing your face, not afterwards anyways. I definitely recommend this cleanser.

I don't know about the Red Tea product, but this has a very subtle grape like scent. It's clean and sweet almost. It's very light so don't worry about it irritating you or being overpowering, it doesn't do that at all. I can't see anyone not liking this scent!

I haven't smelled the other one you mentioned but this one smells like fresh cut honeydew melon and grape. It smells clean to me, like it has a lot of fresh water, and very slightly floral. The scent is definitely not over-powering.

I can't compare the 2 foaming cleansers for you - but caudalie wakes up the senses just enough with a chamomile/grape (not the fruity grape - but REAL green grape) scent. I can't describe it well - but having let multiple friends try my cleanser, they all love the scent!

If you enjoy Ole Henriksen's African Red Tea Cleanser you would probably love this cleanser as well. The scent is mild and based in grape seed extract.

Both products have a foaming action and cleanse and tone in one step. The African Red Tea Cleanser does a slightly better job of removing eye makeup, and the Instant Foaming Cleanser is slightly more gentle.

You should not have a waxy feel after washing - even with combination skin. Make sure you're getting good coverage with the foam, massage well and use a clean wash cloth to rinse, not just your fingers. A great addition two times a week is Caudalie's mild exfoliant scrub mixed right in with the foaming cleanser - it's a nice boost.

I have combination skin and my face never feels waxy after washing with Caudalie. To remove make up properly depending on how many layers are there, you should rinse at least 2-3 times for heavier make up especially the mascara. For lighter make up just foundation only one rinse can do.

I use a separate makeup remover before using this cleanser. I recommend it especially if you wear a lot of makeup because this is a gentle cleanser and not enough to remove heavy makeup. I only use eye liner, concealer and mascara daily and I use a separate remover.

It's great as a face wash but to take off makeup, depending on how much you wear, it would probably be best to use a makeup remover first. I've never felt a waxy feeling at all. Try using it in the morning before you put makeup on. It looks like just foam but it's really a great cleanser.

I noticed Caudalie, does not have a specific cleanser for blemished skin or congested skin. Has anyone with congested (clogged pores) or mild acne had any great results from this? It's great for acne prone skin. I had blackheads, whiteheads, permanent grease stains on my face. I no longer have that problem. I stil have large pores but that can never be corrected. This cleanser with the Boscia Vital moisturizer, Caudalie mask and Boscia clay mask keeps it in check. I came to the realization that my skin was over reacting to the harsh chemicals. Once i stopped treating my acne with that stuff and started treating it in a gentle manner, it calmed down.

I have mild acne on my T-zone and this has helped a lot! It doesn't dry my breakouts out (which is good because my skin is combination so it doesn't hurt my dry patches either) but it cleans deeply to clear my pores. If used once or twice a day for a couple days (my skin usually needs 3) the blemishes will disappear. For serious acne breakouts, I would combine it with a stronger, more acidic cleanser. I had some pimples from a previous oily moisturizer I was using. After I switched to Caudalie Cleasner and toner, they went away like over night! I was suprised bc I didn't expect to even get help with pimples from it. You should try the Foaming Cleanser and the Toner, not the spray toner, but the once you use a cotton ball with.It's worth a shot! Hope this helps.

Although I couldn't find "oil-free" on the bottle, it does say it's without parabens, artificial coloring, soap, and mineral oils...it definitely isn't oily at all which could either be due to the foam or the ingredients. Either way, my face is never oily after washing with this.

It works well and leaves my skin feeling balanced. I only stopped because of changes during pregnancy. Now that my skin is slightly oily again, I'm considering using it again. This cleanser is not drying. It's gentle but effective. My skin used to be dry, patchy but oily and full of zits. I think it was confused because of the Glycolic and other fruit acids I was using. I stopped it all and started using this cleanser and the Caudalie serum. Followed up with a Boscia moisturizer....oil free for summer. My skin stopped acting crazy after a month and just calmed down. Best thing I have ever done. Get the small travel size and try it for one month and see if it works for you. If it doesn't, return it.

Honestly the only thing that helps with pores is a good facial. I have large pores myself and no product can get in there, clean it all up and make them smaller. Products can help significantly more when you are having a facial once every month at first and then reduce it to as needed. Speaking from personal expericence. I know it can be pricy, I am trying to get a facial again now because in the long run it is absolutely worth it.

Hi! I also use the cleanser and Vinoperfect serum. My pores are not getting larger though. I am not sure if you want to add more to your routine but this is what I do. I use the Caudalie mask (no scrubbing) twice a week. I also use the Boscia Detox mask twice a week. The masks are twice a week in the summer and once a week in the winter. I use the Vinoperfect at night only and do not add anything else on top. I use a Boscia moisturizer in the day with SPF 15 and do not use the Vinoperfect in the day. My pores have cleared out as a result. Maybe you need to add a mask or two, something gentle so as not to irritate the pores.

If you like Caudalie, skip the face serum and the lotion your using and buy their new Vinosource Creme Sorbet lotion, it's perfect and it seems to be minimizing my pores a bit. I use it with this cleanser. Large pores are normally caused my too much oil and your skin over produces oil when its dehydrated and dry so you may want to try this lotion it's very hydrating and does not irritate my acne. It seems to be helping to clear my acne. Hope that helps some! Remeber less is more! Don't get caught up in the gimicks and using a million different products. Simply cleanse, exfoliate and MOISTURIZE! :)

But I started using Clinique's Deep Cleansing Emergency Mask, and the 2 (Caudalie's instant foaming cleanser) work well together (for me, at least). I have dropped using a toner as well about a year ago, I figure if you can get a few good products, the fewer products you actually need to use.

I use all the same products that you are using in the Caudalie line and have similar skin to yours, I have'nt experienced the larger pores problem though. I learned from my dermatologist to apply any type of cleanser with a warm washcloth and use a circular motion, this exfoliates and helps minimize pores. I think that this might be the trick, my skin has never looked better.

It's definitely not as harsh as regular cleansers, so you MAY be able to get away w/no moisturizer afterwards. However, especially w/the dry winter air, you'll probably need to put something on your face (I always follow up w/lotion). If it's before bed and you're just lazy (like me), I would recommend even just quickly spritzing your face w/a spray moisturizer (The Body Shop has a light vitamin C one and one thats a bit more moisturizing). This cleanser is great for cleaning skin w/out over-stripping it, but I think you should always use at least some sort of light moisturizer afterwards.

You probably shouldn't. This cleanser is watery and works well on its own. You're better off using a more creamy cleanser or a thick foaming cleanser with a Clarisonic.

No it does not, you would have to buy a separate toner, I believe Caudalie offers it within their line of products.

I dont think it has a toner in it. Your skin does feel like you have used toner when you are complete. This is a gentle but effective cleanser.

I'm not sure if there's a toner in this, but it definately tones my skin and makes it glow right after I use it! :)

No, this cleanser does not have a built in toner nor does it have any toning effects. I really like Murads Essential C cleanser for a cleanser with a built in toner.

According to the Caudalie website, it has an astringent effect. I never felt like I needed a toner/astringent after using it even with oily skin and full makeup every day.

i dont think so. when i went to sephora, i saw a separate caudelie toner so i doubt if it has one inside the cleanser.
