I suggest you don't use spf when you sleep , because when you are resting, it's better leaving your skin recovery without adding work on it.

It could, but there's no benefit to using an SPF at night, nor to looking bright-eyed at night unless you have a night job....I've been supplementing with the 9,000 samples of eye cream I seem to always have for night use to make this rather expensive product last that much longer.

Yes, this can be used any time. I believe Murad has night specific creams, but you can use this one also.

There's absolutely no harm in wearing SPF at night, but if you're looking for a night time eye cream, then you may want to check out something else. Many women pref something more substantial/robust at night, where you can get great hydration w/o worrying about it ruining makeup like you would in the day time. This eye cream is fairly light-to-medium in weight, so it's not a powerhouse hydrator in my experience.

That is a good question! I try not to use products with SPF at night and use a different eye cream at night than the Essential C, but I do not think it would hurt because of the ingredients. It does only say day on the box, however.

Does this cause skin sensitivity issues when waxing?

I get my eyebrows waxed regularly. Does this cream cause the skin to get so sensitive that it reacts badly to waxing? I've used creams before that have made me hyper-sensitive and ripped off my skin, so I'm always nervous about trying anything new!

The eye cream has retinol in it and anytime you use an eye cream or moisturizer in a freshly waxed area with that ingredient, you will have hyper-sensitivity and can actually risk getting more wrinkles. So regardless of the area of your face don't use products with retinol on freshly waxed skin!

Yes. Any products from Sephora may be returned if you keep your receipt... for any reason. If you don't have your receipt, I'd still try to return it if I were you as they are (or at least have been in the past) flexible.

We recommend applying this item on clean skin to the eye orbital bone, and then applying your daytime serum and moisturizer/ sunscreen.

Here are the directions from our site:

-Every day after cleansing and toning, gently pat a small amount onto the brow bone and beneath the eye.

What are the main ingredients

Could you please explain the first 3 ingredients in this eye cream. It's called Essential-C, so where is the vitamin C in the ingredients?? Also, I use another product line for cleanser, toner, and moisterizer, but I'm interested in the Murad active radiance serum. The first three ingredients are organic compounds used in sunscreens. I believe "Essential-C" is just referring to the environmental shield that Murad has focused this line around but the vitamin C is in there. Ascorbic acid or ascorbate are forms of vitamin C. A lot of times you'll find these listed instead of straight up "Vitamin C". You can certainly add the serum to your regimen. Adding from a different line isn't necessarily a bad thing. My cleanser and moisturizer are both Murad. For my toner and eye creams I use three different brands. So just see what works best for you.

I believe the first three ingredients are referring to what is in the SPF. For example, it says the same thing on the same lines Essential-C Day Cream, but adds Titanium Dioxide as well (which makes sense it would not be in the eye creams because the eye area does not have pores). There is Vitamin C in products in the line, it is just not listed first. The active serum is awesome, but you can still use the line you prefer and just add that serum into your routine if you do not want to completely switch. I actually only use the serum during the day and use something else in their line at night. I like Murad and have been playing around with different lines to see which ones are best for me, so I say do not be scared to experiment!!

It doesn't list a percentage, unfortanately. All I can tell you, from the box, is that, after the three active (sunscreen) ingredients, it lists another 43 ingredients. Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) is listed 15th.

Not sure on the % of Vit C, but it's likely in name only since Vit C will break down with exposure to sunlight and this cream is in a clear pump...that said, it's a good eye cream and has SPF.

On the Murad web site, Vitamin K (Phytonadione) is included on the ingredient list, but is missing on Sephora's. Is it included or not? Also, what is the percentage of Vitamin K & Retinol?

Vitamin K is listed on the box it came in from Sephora. As to percentage of Vitamin K & Retinol it's not listed but they are towards the end of the ingredient list so I imagine not much of a percentage.

Accuracy of ingredients

In the product description it is stated that this moisturizer does not contain any parabens, yet in the ingredient list at least 2 parabens are listed (among other controversial ingredients). Which one is actually correct? I would like to be able to rely on the "What it is formulated WITHOUT" section without having to do further research.
