Questions & Answers for Benefit Cosmetics Lip Plump

Question
Does it really work?
I love trying new lip plumpers to see what will give me the fullest lips possible. So does this really plump them up or does it just mute them out so you can draw the illusion of bigger lips?

Definitely didn't plump but it did give a very nude base for under any lipstick color. Be prepared to have your lips really dried out. I had to really do extra hydrating after beginning usage of it and it took several days for my lips to recover a hydrated feeling after discontinuing usage.

It doesn't seem to plump. It's more like putting foundation on your lips.

The very first time I used the product I got a tingling sensation and thought my lips actually appeared fuller. Every time I've used it since, however, there's been no tingling or plumping. I'm not sure what that was about as there's no menthol in it and it's mainly supposed to give the illusion of fuller lips by filling in lines and giving a smoother, fuller shape.

This does not give you that tingly/plump lips like Lip Fusion would. It only gives you the illusion of fuller lips so you can line on the outside of them.

It really plumps them up. It's not a gimmick. If you are looking for super duper fakeola plumpness then this isn't your bag. But if you want something that looks natural yet really does do the trick , I highly recommend this product.

Dosen't plump them up at all. I think it might be meant to mute them out like you said but it's very dry. It doesn't work at all. I don't know if Sephora carries it, but a good one is Sexy Motherpucker. Very comparible to Lipfusion but is a little sticky.

i havent found this to "plump" so i would say it does the latter.. it mutes out the lip so you can draw in fuller lips.

I did find that it plumped a little bit, but not a whole bunch. It does fill in fine lines wonderfully and stops feathering, as well as holds lipstick and glosses better than anything else I've tried. So it won't make your lips look like Angelina Jolie's, but it'll sure help make them ready for some lipliner and colour.

No it doesn't plump your lips at all. Even the benefit rep. told me it contains no ingredients that actually plump your lips. It just creates a nude base for other lip color but it dries your lips out.

It's not a true lip plumper. It will just create a nice base for liner and lip color. It'll give the illusion, but won't plump.

I personally would NOT wear this product alone!. I cannot believe people actually say they do! Its the exact color of concealer for your face so it looks bizarre if you don't add something on top of it.

It really isn't sticky. I have worn it alone but just added a thin layer and covered it with gloss. Just be careful not to add a ton of it if you are wearing it alone because you will look like a corpse!

I often wear it alone. I is a bit sticky, but not any more than most lip glosses or other lip products out there. It is a matte substance.

This product is not sticky but cannot be worn alone. It is only for use under a lip color. Because when you apply it is IS the color in the picture. Great primer though!

It can be wrone alone of you only apply a little bit, otherwise you will look washed out. Also i find that without something over this, it tends to slightly flake off.

I found that "Boarderline" by Too Faced is the best at stopping the feathering and bleed. This, is ok, but I would definately recommend going into a Sephora and trying it. The nice thing is that you can always return what you don't like. =)

This one is great for matte or non glossy lipsticks. No feathering at all. I've yet to find a primer that works well with keeping gloss from oozing over the lip line.

I have tried a few and unfortunately I can't remember the names...but this one is fantastic. there is one by victoria's secret that is also very nice...

I suggest trying this out and seeing if you like it. it plumps lips but not outrageously...and helps with getting lipstick/liner on well.

If you want a lip PRIMER despite the name Benefits Lip Plump is not a plumper though it does make my lips look a little fuller it is a wonderful lip primer. The best I've ever used, actually.

Sephora lip plumper is a great primer. It lasts all day and evens out fine lines. It's great by itself or under lipstick. I'm a lip licker and it's stuck with me every day, all day. :)

This product is the best that I've used to prevent feathering since it's more of a line-filler/primer than a plumper. It's thick and needs to dry before you apply lipstick, but works well if you're looking for that. Not for use with lipgloss or anything sheer.

I've used this with Benetint... you have to wait for this to dry- but it will still mix with the Lip Plump (which looks like a concealer on your lips) so it ends up being a rosy-nude shade when mixed with Benetint lip/cheek stain.

I've never seen Lip Plump in any other color but the neutral. Its "Benefit" (no pun intended) is to prepare the lips for lipstick.

This product for me, acts as a base for any lipstick or gloss to help it stay put longer. I love it because it slightly lightens my lipsticks which I love because it is impossible to find a good nude lip color. This doesn't dry my lips, but you only need a small amount, take brush out then scrape into tube if you use too much, it will look caked and fill lines on lips. Smooth over with fingertip. This will make lips appear fuller because it is so close to so many skin tones that you don't see where your lip edges are as much. Awesome product, can't do without. Hope this helps!

The Lip Plump does not have an SPF or come in other shades. The tone is neutral and easily blends with any lip color. It also fills in lines and plumps your lips for a smooth lipstick application.
