There is no brush but it comes with a powder puff. I like the powder puff, it prevents product from getting through the sifter.

Question
This or the HD Microfinish?
For those who have tried both powders, which one did you prefer, and why? I am looking for a product to help my makeup last longer and to control shine. I will be using the powder with the Make Up Forever HD foundation. Thanks.

I personally like the HD microfinish a little bit better because it is completely translucent. Both powders work really well though.

I tryed the HD and quite frankly, it wasn't worth the mess. It's so finely milled, it flies everywhere, no matter how you apply it. Plus, I felt the matte powder was a lot smoother in texture. Translucent color blends in, no matter what color foundation I wear. I'm light to medium....

I have bought both. I ended up returning the HD powder because it just was too white and I didn't really like the coverage from it. I use the Mat Velvet foundation with the Super Matte Loose Powder and I love it so much more! The guy at Sephora told me that the HD powder goes hand in hand with the HD foundation, as with the Mat Velvet goes w/ the super Matte loose powder. I hope this helps you!

Question
Does this powder cake up?
I've been using MUFE's HD Liquid foundation with the HD Finishing Powder for over a year now and love how it looks. My only problem is I have to reapply the powder throughout the day because I still get oily. Will the Super Matte powder keep my face matte without caking up?

In my experience, which has been about a week or so, it does not cake up on re-apply. I always dab the oil off first with an oil absorbing sheet then put the powder on. Best idea- go to Sephora and get one of the small loose powder travel tins. In the section with the other tools. Put a little powder in there and use a brush to re-apply after lunch or when you feel oily. goes on a little lighter and no caking.

Question
I use HD Invisible Cover Foundation Shade 117
Should I get Translucent Nutural 12 or Sand 14? Also, I was wondering if it is really neccessary for a person with dry-normal skin like me to use loose powder, since in the many reviews I've read people often comment on how it makes their skin non-oily (for people with oily skin) or it dries out their skin (for people with normal skin)? Thanks.

I have dry skin also, still love this powder. I would recommend the trasnslucent. It doesn't add any color, just a nice setting powder. You don't have to woryy about the color matching.

I also have sensitive combination skin, and I haven't had any problems. Your mileage may vary, of course, but always make sure to completely remove your makeup with a good makeup remover formula or a thorough face wash before going to bed at night.

It sounds like you are as pale as I am. I use the MUFE Matte Velvet foundation in color 115, which is either the lightest or second to the lightest shade. I use the #12 MUFE loose powder over it, and it does not darken the foundation at all. It's also very mattifying. MUFE does not make a powder foundation that is a light enough shade for me, so you might have that same problem.

I have dark skin and the Translucent Natural 12 works ok. Definitely leaves a matte look but also can look a tad ashy. Next time, I'm gonna try the powder in a color that matches my HD liquid foundation
