This did not cause breakouts on my skin, but everyone is sensitive to different ingredients. THIS IS NOT OIL-FREE. It has the ingredient MANGO SEED BUTTER (seed oil). It is MINERAL OIL FREE. Just not OIL FREE

You know, it really depends on you. I have sensitive combination skin & get occasional breakouts, and this product has been completely fine for me. It is oil-free, which is something you should look for if you are breakout-prone. Beyond looking for products marked oil-free & noncomedogenic the only way to find out if a product will break you out is to try it. Fortunately Sephora has an excellent return policy, so if you use it and it causes trouble for your skin you can return it & try something else. Just make sure not to change anything else in your skin routine when you switch foundation, so that you know for certain that it is the cause of any issues that pop up.

It's oil-free and talc-free, and it's 75% water based, so it shouldn't break you out. HOWEVER, should you have sensitive skin or feel worried about it in any way, do what I do- use a layer of tinted moisturizer underneath the foundation to create a healthy barrier between your skin and your foundation.

I like the Smashbox tinted moisturizer because it has vitamins, minerals, goes on light, and won't make you oily. Also, using the tinted moisturizer will give you a more even tone and then you can use less foundation.

HEAVILY fragranced. Fragrance is the #1 toxin in cosmetics. Have you seen 'The Story of Cosmetics'? Anyway, I would not buy this product even if you only get acne once in a while.
I bought it and it broke me out severely. I went to the cosmetics database online and typed in the product with it's ingredients, and it rated a 6 out of 10 in toxicity (this makes it a moderate hazard)
It is so loaded with fragrance that I would stay away.

This doesn't break me out, and everything breaks me out...but it could still clog your pores and give you black heads/whiteheads because of the cosmetic grade mineral oil in it. Mat Velvet doesn't clog my pores or break me out, but I hate the way it looks on my skin(very flat and dull)...can't have everything I guess!

If you have normal to dry skin, it definitely should not cause breakouts. However, if your skin tends to be oily and/or you have acne trouble in general, I would probably suggest you try MUFE's Mat Velvet. It is designed for oilier skin types. Overall, i am sure that MUFE has a product that will work for you. Their stuff is really great.
Hope that helps!

Question
Trying to find the right foundation color
I am currently using MUFE Face & Body in Ivory. When I received it, it was much darker than I was expecting but it was still okay for summer. I have very fair skin with pink undertones. Now that we're going into Fall, I have no idea what color to use. I was guessing Pink but not totally sure. What would be the best shade of foundation for me? I'm blonde, green eyes, fair skin, with pink undertones. Thanks!

#38 has more of a yellow undertone and #36 has more a pink undertone. Personally, I prefer #36 as foundations with a yellow undertone make me look sallow, while #36 looks very natural on me and my undertone is similar to yours, as you have described it. Hopes this helps!

I wear #20 from around mid-June through the end of October. The rest of the year, I blend #20 with #38, roughly 50/50. I get the perfect shade! I am very pale with mostly neutral undertones, dark blond hair, light brown eyes.

What color is right for my skintone?

If there is any foundation without color to bring up your pinkish undertones this would be it. It is very liquid like and the color is almost bland. I would recommend going into a Sephora store for your perfect color but since you said porcelain skin I would say Porcelain 20. For other great foundation's for your skin I would say Make Up For Ever's Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation in No. 15 Alabaster, BareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation, or DiorSkin AirFlash Spray Foundation. I 100% recommend visiting a Sephora store to find your perfect shad though, there are so many options these days and to find the perfect item for you it will take a little testing so go in and test try things, ask and try samples! Im sure you will find what you are looking for soon! Hope this helps!

Need Help with Color!
I am currently using MUFE HD in 115 and the color is perfect for me. However, I want to try the Face and Body Liquid version and I am having a hard time choosing a color.

There is no Sephora where I go to school, so I am having to do this all online. Does anyone have any suggestions for a color match?

Thank you!

Try using the Makeupforever Shade finder. Click on the drag box (top right) that says BRANDS and click on MAKEUP FOREVER. Under where it says "FIND MORE ABOUT THE BRAND" there is a link that says "Shade finder"- click on it. You can hoover over the different shades. Being that you already know watch match you are in the HD it will be alot easier.

Question
I was wondering about the oil in the product...
Hi,
the reviews for this product are really positive, but I'm worried that one of the main ingredients in it is mineral oil. In the past when I've used products for the face--a few concealers--with oil in them, they've clogged my pores. I was wondering if there was anything like say a primer, or anything like that which might help--or should I just look for a different product?

My face breaks out pretty easily and the mineral oil in this product worried me as well. This foundation did not break me out, but it did aggravate my oily skin which made me look super greasy after a few hours of application. I have however heard that they took the mineral oil out of the face and body foundation...but I'm not sure if this is true. I hope this helps!

It lasts on my face from 7am until 9pm. I "touch up" only my nose. This stays put over sunscreen when I'm gardening in direct sunlight. It tricks me into believing I have perfect skin - an I so don't.

I tried the Face and Body Liquid Makeup and it lasted a very long time. It's totally waterproof, it's not gonna come off unless u practically rub it off. I used Honey Beige 34 and it matched perfectly. Definitely buildable and feels really good on your skin. It's a great product definitely for summer so you wont sweat your makeup off :)

The product is so light it looks very natural. Like the other answer I would say no it will not cause the white-flash face. But also be aware of what is in you lotion. SPF causes the white look and although its the first thing you put on it will cause the white face.

answer 3
I checked the ingredients and this makeup has no zinc listed, or SPF, which is usually what makes skin appear lighter in flash photography. It doesn't have a completely matte finish so unless set with powder there will be a certain amount of "glow" but no more so than well-moisturized skin. Setting with a powder (that is also zinc-and-SPF-free) should make it matte.

Question
Has anyone tried Porcelain 2?
I use Soft Beige 1 on my chest. However, it is too dark for my face.

I tried Alabaster Beige 32 (too yellow) & Ivory 20 (too light & too yellow).

I have fair skin with pink/beige undertones.
I usually wear the 2nd or 3rd lightest color of a foundation.

I was wondering if PORCELAIN 2 might be the right shade.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

It sounds like we have similar coloring as both Alabaster Beige 32 & Ivory 20 were too yellow for me. I have used Porcelain 2 by itself with great results. But, my best results come from mixing Porcelain 2 with Ivory 20. This gives me the perfect neutral shade for my skin. For me, a 50/50 mixture works best, but you should play around with the ratio to see what works best for you. I usually pre-mix half a bottle of each in a separate empty bottle to avoid the hassle of having to mix the shades every morning. Works great!

#2 is my shade! I have fair skin with pink undertones and a tiiiny hint of tan (fake, but whatever). I usually use one or two shades up from the lightest in makeup ranges that have a good bit of shade variation. It looks too dark in the bottle, but blends perfectly with my skin once applied - I never would have picked it up off of the shelf for that reason, but a salesperson at Sephora helped me find the right shade. It's tough to pick the right color online - if you have a Sephora nearby, I'd definitely recommend going in and trying out different shades. They'll even make you a little sample to take home for a test run.

I'm very fair skinned (Swedish, English, Irish) with pink undertones and I found #2 a little dark for me.

It does seem to be quite pink so it might be too pink for you. But it's worth trying if you're not too yellow.

Go to your local Sephora and have them apply some or ask for a sample to try at home.

Question
In between shades, should I mix two together or try something new?
I recently purchased Ivory 20 which is just a tad too dark for me so I decided I would try Pink Porcelain 38 which is a tad too light and pink. Should I mix these two shades together? I am wondering if the two will mix together ok,has anyone done this? Does anyone have a shade recommendation that would work better on my skin tone? I was curious about the alabaster, but I am assuming that it is probably darker than the ivory.

I have stage IV cancer and the medication I am on makes me sweat like crazy so I really like how this foundation stays put even when my face is leaking! Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I'm between shades too. Ivory 20 is too yellow for me and Porcelain 2 is too pink. Mixing them at almost a 50/50 ration creates my perfect color. I actually use an old bottle and fill it about halfway with 20 and then the rest of the way with 2, then shake it for a while to mix them together. It's a lot more convenient and such a time saver to pre-mix them that way, rather than mixing them with each application.
