Question
MUFA VS. NARS: Comparison? Which is better?
Has any one tried both MUFA and NARS? Are they close in quality and pigmentation? Or is the infamous NARS still a better bet?

Thanks for any help!

Hi,

I've used both. I'd say they're both equally as wonderful. I'd so to go by the color you want. Either way, you can't go wrong.

Hope this helps.

I agree with the other reviewer, MUFE eyeshadows and blushes are way better, easier to blend, and colors are more natural. The price is better too.

I prefer Makeup Forver. The product is smoother, and lasts longer. It's not as glittery as some of Nars products tend to be.

Question
Purple blush, Red eyeshadow??
This probably shows my ignorance, but what color skin looks good with purple blush, and what color skin looks good with red eyeshadow? It's been a very long time since I bought and played around with makeup, and then, we didn't even think of them as options. Always eager to learn, so ... any explanations?

You have to remember, MUFE is a line that was created for actual makeup ARTISTRY, as in fashion and theater, rather than every day. The line and it's products are used by makeup artists all the time, rather it be in show business, or creating theater makeup (wounds and gashes). So while purple blush and red eyeshadow seem strange to us, it's keeping with the main idea of the line, while being easily available for the public, and inspiring artists. Hope that answers your question :)

I tried the lavender blush because I wanted to play around with color, and thought I could use it as eyeshadow as well. I was wrong on both counts! But I do think the lavender blush idea would not work for everyday...just for fun, clubbing, fashion shows, etc.

THE PURPLE IS FOR YOUR EYES. THE PINK CAN BE BLENDED WITH IT- ADD SOME WHITE OR GOLD TO SOFTEN IT IF YOU MUST. THE RED- I BOUGHT FUSCHIA. CAN BE USED AS BLUSH FEATHER OUT WITH LOOSE POWDER.

I have light skin and thought this would look nice -
I was very mistaken -
It's awful -
There's no color to it at all, it's just all sheen and made my pores look bad.
I should've stuck with Nars and Mac.

Question
Can this be used as a highlighter?
Hi girls, I need your help with something since all of you here are top notch makeup experts!!
I've been wanting to buy a good cheeckbone highlighter for a while now & the only great one i've been hearing so many raves about is Dior Amber Diamond Shimmer Star but its expensive for me especially that I'm still a student. So do any of you know if Makeup Forever powder blush can be used as a highlighter? Has anyone used it as a highlighter? And if so, Which color? I have a medium, beige skin tone with brown hair and hazel eyes so if the answer to my question is a yes please recommend a color for me. Thank you so much!

Ive used stila's skin illumizer which is GORGEOUS but if you get a light colored pink or peachy color it would be great! are you looking for just color or sheen as well? i got this one in antique 74 i think, and its a rosey kind of pink, if you apply a light sweep its a very nice pinky bright color. i have the same skin as you so this is a great highliter color

Hi,

I use blushes as eye shadows all the time. Sometimes the blushes seem better than the shadows. I've never had a problem.

Hope this helps answer your question.

Question
Color?
I have been sing MAC blush in mocha for years, but you don't carry it. The site recommended I check out make up forever. The reviews are great but I have no idea what color I need. Any advice? I'm medium/fair, dark brown eyes, dark brown hair. I want something that will look natural that I can wear everyday with my bare essentials foundation. I don't wear a lot of make up, just blush and mascara.

Hi,

I just got my first MUFE blush in Antique Pink (Shade 74) which is either a pinky peach or a peachy pink, depending on how you look at it and how it reacts with the light. We're on a trip, and I tried this blush this afternoon. I really thought it looked more pink to me, but out in the sun, it seemed to change to a very beautiful healthy natural looking color, with the pink peach components more obvious is the sun. Why I'm recommending this color is that I have brown hair and brown eyes, and fair to pale skin. We're on vacation, and strangers actually came up to me and complimented me on my "peaches and cream" complexion. That's never happened to me before. It had to be the blush. It wasn't a pick up line or anything like that because this was done right in front of my husband and kids. It happened a few more times after that, with other people complimenting on my skin in various ways. Clearly this is a great color.

Hope this helps.

Question
Orange Blush for Light Skin
I have light skin with golden tones. Since I like the look of orange lipstick on me, I thought a matte orange blush would be ideal. Which orange blush should I choose? I have dark brown hair and eyes with a light complexion. I'm not ghostly pale, but I'm also no where near tan. Would the Pumpkin, Rust Orange or Peach Apricot work? Thanks!

Hi, I have brown hair brown eyes, and Im not tan but Im not pale either, just an in between... I bought the Apricot Orange sheen, and I love it. It looks great, like a sun kissed island-ey blush. You can just sweep it on your cheekbones and blend it and it stays all day long. Its pretty pigmented so don't pack it on :)

I can't see the colours you put in your question. the MUFE powder blush has the colours tangerine 18 and pearly orange 25, I actually own the neon pink 75 which is also matte and very highly pigmented like tangerine and I know you probably think omg she must look like a clown with that on. but actually - to my own surprise as I had bought it as an eye shadow for a costume party - it looks amazing as a blush. I use a TINY amount and it blends so well into cheeks that it looks like a natural flush since it also doesn't shimmer and you need so little that you can't see the powder ( I don't like that with not so highly pigmented blushes, that you need to use a lot to get some colour, and the powder then builds up on my foundation), so I say dare to go with the tangerine one and use VERY carefully and just a tiny amount. and since sephora is great that way you can always exchange it for another shade if you hate it. But I really encourage trying the high pigmented mattes one might think would look clowny, because if used right, they're gorgeous!!!
