Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue

A stunning perfume, overwhelming and irresistible like the joy of living. Surprising and colored: the liveliness of Sicilian citron, the happiness of Granny Smith apple, the spontaneity of bluebells. Feminine and resolute: the intensity of jasmine, the freshness of bamboo, the charm of white rose. Deep and true: the character of cedarwood, the fullness of amber, the embrace of musk.Notes:Sicilian Citron, Bluebell, Granny Smith Apple, Jasmine Sambac, Bamboo, White Rose, Cedarwood, Amber, Musk.Style:Deep and true.

I think that it can definitely be worn in the summer. The lightness and freshness of the fragrance makes it appropriate. However, I don't see why one wouldn't be able to wear it during the winter as well! The feel I get with this perfume makes me categorize it as a day scent. (Meaning, I'd pick something a little more heavy for the evening...you know, to go with your LBD ;)

This is definitely a beautiful summer scent because of the light and airy feel to it!!! BUT I love it so much and I get so many compliments that I have been wearing it year round. This is my signature scent, regardless of the season. It's a must buy!!!

I think it's ideal to wear lightly in the summer because it's citrus-y, but it's also great year round because it has great florals also and the slight woody undernotes.

I noticed that Sephora recommended Lacoste Pink as a similar floral scent. I sort of agreed, so I decided to spray it on to jog my memory.

Don't by any means think that this is identical to Light Blue. It is similar in that it has a light, fresh, citrus, and floral scent like the notes in Light Blue. I can smell the top notes described including blood orange, jasmine, and violet. The hint of citrus reminds me how pink lemonade tastes and smells. Then comes the mid-notes which is where the floral scent is. It's okay until you get to the dry down and final scent which turns into something I do not like. Now I remember why I never wear this. I could never describe the dry down but it's a combination of artificial-ness, rose, and musk.

So, although I would not necessarily recommend this. I can see the similarities to Light Blue. And say, if you are a looking for something similar to Light Blue as well as a FAN of musk then you will like this. Everyone's tastes are different...

Per my review, I feel like many, many scents smell similar to Light Blue. I think the description is a tad bit misleading. For my nose, it's a light and clean scent with a hint of floral. It's soft and not overwhelming with not really a distinguished strong note that takes center stage. Key notes think: Fresh, Crisp, Light Citrus, Mild Flower

I found it similar to

Calvin Klein CK One for its fresh scent

Ralph Lauren Blue and Ralph for the similar fruity/floral clean scent

Think of perfume as an investment. I would always sample it before you buy it. Perfume works differently on every individual, and everyone's body chemistry is different. Might smell great on you but like bug repellent on me. Get the pic? I hope this helps. Oh yeah and if your insane for scents like me (I have WAY too many) I would buy the 1.7 oz so the 3.4 won't be a waste of your money. Unless of course your a one scent kinda girl.

Body Cream is exactly that which is a creamy, more moisturizing in my opinion. Ithe Body Gel is a lighter, gel form and felt to me as if there was more alcohol in it. I have dry skin and need to wear a moisturizer yearound. during the summer I thought that I would enjoy the Gel but because of the higher alcohol content ( I say that because it evaporates into your skin so quickly) I rarely ever use it. I love Light Blue but I opt for the Body Cream when I am layering my fragrance.

I THINK THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE COLOGNE MIST IS A LIGHTER
FRAGRANCE THAT DOESN'T STAY WITH YOU AS LONG AS THE PERFUME DOES. THE PERFUME IS ALSO A STRONGER SCENT. THIS
IS JUST MY OPINION.
