I would just send them in a padded envelope. The company can't possible expect everyone to keep the original packaging for years. If you are unsure I suggest searching Tweezerman's website for your answer.

They box they come in says if you ever lose the box, you can just send them in a padded mailing envelope.

They will accept the tweezers without the original packaging. If you need the address, it is Tweezerman Service 235 Blue Bell Rd. Houston, Tx. 77037. Just place them in an insured mailer with your name, address and phone number.

I didn't know about the free sharpening, but my best recommendation is to visit www.tweezerman.com and ask for options about your situation. The maybe send to a box or something. I hope you can solve it.

You don't need the original box it comes in. I do still have mine and it states "send tool insured in a padded mailer with your name, address, and phone number to: Tweezerman Service, 235 Blue Bell Road, Houston, Texas 77037, USA."

Hope that helped!

Hi hun!

The Tweezerman Company is great to work with....
I just had mine sharpened after 6 years (I didn't have the holder either)
Go to Tweezerman dot (com) You can get the phone number off their site.
I just called and asked what to do to get them sharpened.
They did an excellent job. Honestly, I have to break mine in again ;D

I think I paid $2.70 for shipping. That was it. Now my Tweezerman Tweezers are just like new again!

I hope this helps!

I find the slanted ones easier to use. The sharper the ends the better they work. The pointy ones seem like they would cause injury.

I would recommend the slanted ones. I have had the slanted ones for years and they work great. Honestly, I've never tried using pointed ones and I don't plan on doing so. I am so happy with the slanted ones.

Definitely go with the slant! I feel they are much better because they are able to line up with the hairs, not just poke in a blind spot. The pointed ones actually are a little too pointy for my taste.

It comes down to personal preference, but I prefer the slanted tweezer as it allows you to get closer to the hair to "grab and remove."

ive always been partial to the slanted tip tweezer. they get all types of hairs, and especially with a quality pair of tweezers like these getting the stubborn hairs has never been a problem. The pointy tweezers are harder to get under longer hairs and pull them out from the root, while the slanted ones are the right shape to do just that. i would recommend getting the slanted ones first and then if you feel you need more precision, invest in the pointy kind.

I have not found that I need to sharpen them...however, Tweezerman does indeed offer that service to you. If you personally feel that your tweezers need some sprucing up. I would def inquire about that :) Happy tweezing!

If you get a good quality tweezer like Tweezerman you shouldn't need sharpening, I never did and I've used this brand for a while now.

Yes, it's a good idea to sharpen them; otherwise the hairs will start breaking everytime you try to tweeze, or they will not pull all the way out. It's like a knife, after a while you have to sharpen it. You don't just get a new one... unless you collect them.

Depends how often you use them, if you keep the tips covered at all times when not in use, if you drop them and ding the edges.

I'd say with careful care, sending them out once per year is reasonable. If you're a super-sharp tweezer fanatic, then go for twice.

The slanted ones are the best. They're good to take out small hairs, several at once and even those really hard to remove ones. Keep them sharp and they'll work well. If the hair starts breaking all the time, you may need to sharpen them... I know... it sounds counterintuitive, but it's true.

I would recommend the slant tip. When you are using it you can totally tell, as it says in the description, that if you use the tip you can get the tiny little hairs while the broader side gets the more stubborn/thick/coarse/whateveryouwanttocallit hairs!! I own several of the Tweezerman tweezers and this is the one I use the most...it really is all purpose. I have even gone as far as using it as a tool to repair a pair of earrings! Now, if that's not all purpose I'm not sure what is! (WARNING....I do not recommend that anyone use their Tweezermans as household tools!! I was desperate and in a hurry! LOL!) Hope this helps!

There is something about these tweezers that pluck the hairs from a deeper part of the follicle, or something. It hurts a little more because it is pulling from further down and really getting to the stubborn hairs.

When you first try them out they are a tad bit sharp, when I first used them I had been used to using bad unsharpened tweezers from the dollarstore. I actually ended up pinching myself a few times and the next day I had given myself some tiny little scabs above my eye hahah I was definetly not ready for how good these would really be. I love them, you get used to how you should manuveur your hand and what not once you get the hang of how sharp they are. :)

These are, in fact, sharp, but that's the beneifit. They are way more precise than any other similar tweezers I've ever used which is why I like them. There is also a pointed tweezer available, which is even more precise. If you're careful, you shouldn't have any problems. In fact, you should have less issues than with a dull tweezer because these get the hairs usually the first time you try. Hope this helps. (Because of the color, for some reason, it's a little bit easier to use, maybe because the tong part stands out more).

Question
Has anyone ever sent their tweezers to be sharpened?
I've noticed a decrease in accuracy lately and wondered if anyone has ever followed the directions on the package and sent them for a free sharpening since they are guaranteed to tweeze. Does anyone sharpen them without sending them away?

Go on the Tweezerman site and follow the directions on how to have your tweezers sharpened at no cost (print a form, mail it back, etc.). It took several weeks before I received my tweezers back so I have an extra pair of Tweezerman tweezers.

I send mine out, I keep 2 pair so I can have a pair while the other is being sharpened (Just in case, usually takes a few weeks but
that the sharpening has moved to NY should be faster!

Never tried sharpening myself though.

I did send one in for the free sharpening. They were returned quickly, and were very sharp. Unfortunately, I had dropped them, and they never really worked the same after that. If the only problem with them is the sharpness, I would definitely recommend sending them.

Hi!

I bought my 1st pair of the cutest Tweezerman tweezers almost 6 years ago at Sephora...
And "just" sent these in to Tweezerman Co. to be sharpened. (But I didn't sharpen them myself)
It was super easy, but I called Tweezerman before sending them off.
Now this are like the day I bought them. I have to break them in again ;D

I think Tweezerman tweezers are wonderful & worth it!

In regards to your question on repeat reviews-

If you buy online from Sephora you receive a link to review that product.
In this case 4 tweezerman tweezers were reviewed.
I checked on earlier reviews of hers whereas she had mentioned several times her PC video card was breaking down.
So it was possible that was the only pic saved....I don't know.

Should she start taking pictures of her Sephora receipts too?
Maybe, she should. I think that would be great since as of now:
"ANYONE" could write a fake review on Sephora. And I do mean anyone.
It's awful that the reviews were set up this way...
Go ahead & try it, you can say anything you want and never own the product.
At least she shows that she owns it. Which takes much more time.
Plus;
When uploaded a photo to Sephora, the review may not be shown for 3 days to 3 months.
That's why I don't do pic's...
So it "IS" quite possible these tweezers were sharpened "after" the 1st few reviews didn't post.
Why do I think this way??? Well-
Because debbee7 also post on Sephora's blog & has explained her photo dilemma, while asking others for help.

If her reviews were fake-like SO many others are...
Why doesn't she say she owns everything like the other Top Contributors do?
Hmmm?
I mean check out tenn gal or dreamy one (who was told by some make artist that she needed 14 different blushers, 10 different bronzers & 8 highlighters) for one wedding?
And that was just for the cheek area, lol!

So get over it.
Honestly, what kind of question is this anyway?
I wish her PC was running so she could answer for herself. But I've found all her reviews very helpful.
