There is something about these tweezers that pluck the hairs from a deeper part of the follicle, or something. It hurts a little more because it is pulling from further down and really getting to the stubborn hairs.

They are always way too sharp to begin with. But after a couple month, they dull down and are much better. At this point, I'd consider them perfect! But yes, at the beginning, too sharp. :(
They will dull down. I just bought my 4th pair..... I loose them. But they start off sharp, and dull down. Better when they are sharper I think.

When you first try them out they are a tad bit sharp, when I first used them I had been used to using bad unsharpened tweezers from the dollarstore. I actually ended up pinching myself a few times and the next day I had given myself some tiny little scabs above my eye hahah I was definetly not ready for how good these would really be. I love them, you get used to how you should manuveur your hand and what not once you get the hang of how sharp they are. :)

These are, in fact, sharp, but that's the beneifit. They are way more precise than any other similar tweezers I've ever used which is why I like them. There is also a pointed tweezer available, which is even more precise. If you're careful, you shouldn't have any problems. In fact, you should have less issues than with a dull tweezer because these get the hairs usually the first time you try. Hope this helps. (Because of the color, for some reason, it's a little bit easier to use, maybe because the tong part stands out more).

No I don't find them too sharp at all and they have some soothing stuff you could buy, but I use Shaklee Enfuselle Calming Complex to soothe my skin when needed.
