Can I use the Clarisonic to rub this product into my face?

Is it ok to use the Clarisonic brush to rub this product into my face? Didn't know if that would be too harsh. Or is it better to just rub the product into my skin with my hands?

The Clarisonic is an exfoliating device in and of itself and is designed to be used with a cleanser. This Sugar Face Polish is, itself, an exfoliating mask.. No, do not use them together. If you want to use a Clarisonic, use it with a cleanser. If you want to use Sugar Face Polish, use it after you use a cleanser. I wouldn't even suggest using the Sugar Face Polish immediately after using the Clarisonic w/cleanser. Be gentle to your skin and don't over do it.

I would not use both the Clarisonic and Sugar Scrub if you have sensitve skin. I would try the scrub first, if that doesn't work for you, go with the Clarisonic. I like the clarisonic, because in the long run it saves me money.

This product is super gentle, I don't see the problem using it with a Clarisonic. I personally don't use one because I have dry sensitive skin, but if you do, adding this product to the mix certainly won't hurt. It is very moisturizing and non abrasive. It just melts into the skin, yum! :)

I had a really oily face as a teenager too and my mistake was to deprive my skin with moisturizer because I thought it would make my skin oilier. Skin produces more oil if you do not moisturize. This product claims it does not have parabens, sulfates, etc. and if I were you, get a sample first. I don't know for sure if this will cause break-outs but I don't think this polish will make your skin oilier. In fact it might just moisturize it in a good way.

This product may or may not work for oily. skin. It DOES leave a moisturizing film on the skin after use. These are not pore-clogging oils and indeed may be (with extended use) a homeopathic remedy for oily skin as you slowly train the skin's sebaceous cells to secrete less oil. A sephora worker happily supplied me with a generous sample of this product to take home before purchasing. I recommend you try it a few times before buying!

You will love this product. It smells good, and natural. Also, it starts out with light exfoliation, and then melts into a mask. I have really sensitive skin-normal to dry--and when my skin gets dry I get dry patches, but my nose is still oily! This is an awesome polish, and it's worth every penny! Pick some up!

Yes, definitely. As with other scrubs, use circular motion. My personal recommendation is slightly damp your face then apply the polish. If you have super flakes, maybe once a week is good. For my dry skin and not too much flakes, I use twice a month.

If you don't already have a clarisonic- get one! It sounds like my skin is similar to yours and this was the best beauty investment I have ever made. I would try a peel like Amore Pacific's enzyme peel, PTR's pumpkin enzyme peel or one of Kate Somerville's peels. Even though some areas of your skin are oily, you should still use a moisturizer and/or serum. However, you could buy the most expensive creams and gels out there and they won't do a thing if they are applied to dead, flakey skin that hasn't been exfoliated. I love the sugar face polish, sugar's black tea mask, and bliss' triple oxygen mask, but these are not everyday types of products- great for an at home luxury facial though!

I have dry, sensitive skin as well and have found this product to be just heaven! I use it the day after an intensive (for me) mask just to polish off any dead skin cells, which it does very well and leaves my skin moisturized too! I love it! And it smells yummy :)

Yes, the way the sugar dissolves after application would make it easier on delicate skin, I would think. And the oils in the product leave the skin both hydrated and clean without feeling stripped or roughed up like some scrubs do.

I have sensitive dry skin (no eczema though) and this works for me. I would recommend using this with a damp or slightly wet face to start. If you think the sugars are dissolving too quickly and may not exfoliate enough, then don't wet your face too much. Try a sample first, if you like it, then buy the tub. For comparison, I used the ExfoliKate by Kate Sommerville and I liked Fresh better. Good luck!

I have seborrheic dermatitis, I use the Sugar Face Polish once a week. One night I fall asleep with it on my face and in the morning washed it off for whatever reason it seem to work even better. It makes my skin very soft never had a breakout from it at all I say try it out.

how much do I need to rinse?

I've been using this product for a while now but still haven't learned about the rinsing part.. it seems to leave a greasy/slippery film on my skin even when I splash my face with water... I kept on repeating it over and over like 50 times and i still can't get rid of it. I do think it's supposed to be like this, but sometimes my face would break out and sometimes it wont and actually look really nice the next morning.. it's weird.. so am I just supposed to leave my face with a film of greasiness?

I first rinsed y face with warm water then washed it off with a warm washcloth. I brought the Sugar Scrub back because it also left my face feeling greasy.

I noticed that greasy feeling too. So after I rinsed I waited for some of the water to soak into my skin, it was less greasy at that point. I thought the greasy feeling would stay on my skin like a moisturizer, but it didn't. Then I applied my moisturizer, and everything was normal.

Maybe that feeling isn't for everyone who actually wants their face to feel squeaky clean. The oils from the scrub are left on the skin to keep it hydrated. I actually love that feeling and only dab my face with a towel to keep the moisture. I treat that left over oil as my moisturizer and haven't had any breakouts from it.

You don't need a lot of this product - just a thin layer all over - gently work it into the skin abit, leave for 10 minutes then wash off with a cloth rinsed in warm water - that's what worked for me!

I use this product and have no problem rinsing it off. Could it be you are using too much? For example, the sample mini jars they give you at Sephora were enough for 6 uses. I then bought a jar. I also wet the cellulose yellow sponges they sell to rinse it off. Less is more!

I have oily/acne prone skin but my skin loves this. I can't guarantee everyone else's skin will have the same reaction but this seems to really heal my skin and keep it evenly moisturized.

I typically don't use it when i have new breakouts but when they are drying out its my go-to product to help heal and keep from scarring. Great for exfoliating off that dead skin cells that clogs pores as well.

Try it and if you have a reaction just return it!

I have been told by an aesthetician that my skin is like sandpaper, AND I have rosacea. I went to her for regular facials until I couldn't afford it, and when this was recommended to me by a Sephora store employee, it was fate. My skin is just about the same as it was post-facial and this is one of the products that has gotten it there. I highly recommend it.

Actually, Sugar Face Polish is a scrub AND a mask. Try this in the shower...

After cleansing, dampen skin with warm water and apply a small amount of the Sugar Face Polish. Gently massage on the skin until the sugar crystals are completely melted. Leave on for 3 to 5 minutes while you do something else (wash your hair, use a body scrub, shave, etc.), then rinse. Your skin is left feeling soft, radiant, and very nourished. It's great to use this as a mask once a week or so and perhaps 2 - 3 times per week during colder, drier weather.

I've used this on my lips too for awhile now. I actually got a sample but found it to be too oily for my skin so I had the idea to try it as a lip smoother & I haven't had a problem yet. It works well and I have never broken out or had irritation. It works best if your lips are dry when you apply it so the sugar crystals can do some scrubbing before being dissolved too quickly. I just use my finger or a q-tip. I actually like it WAY better than the Laura Gellar because it smells and (accidentally) tastes better, sweet instead of like toothpaste. Plus the feel is better in my opinion, my Laura Gellar samples were too oily and drippy, they seemed like maybe they were for drier lips. I gave them to my Mom

Maybe I'm a little silly... but after reading the ingredients pretty thoroughly, I decided that as long as I didn't swallow any it couldn't hurt to try it.
Here's what I did:
1. Removed all lip balm/gloss
2. Put a pea sized amount on my index finger and massaged it (evenly) into lips (being cautious not to get any in my mouth)
3. Scrubbed (very lightly) for about 20 seconds
4. Used a washcloth very lightly to remove product
5. Put on Fresh Sugar Lip Balm
I'm serious, my lips have never felt like this. I use a matte lipstick (read: drying...) and it doesn't go on evenly if my lips are chapped. This was incredibly effective and very moisturizing and my lips are now softer than I believe they have ever been.
YAY FRESH.
