How does this product compare to Dior Show mascara?

I actually purchased Dior Show and hated it. Returned it to Sephora and picked up the Clinique High Impact since it claimed to lengthen, volumize, and curl, and it does! Half the price of DS, I've since gone through atleast 3 tubes of this stuff. I adore it! The brush is a lot smaller than the DS, which I find easier to work with. Also, absolutely no flaking!

It doesn't even compare... Dior is far better and worth the additional money.

Definitly not as lengthening as Diorshow and also doesnt dry out NEARLY as quick as Diorshow does

I like High Impact better than Dior Show. I know DS is very popular but I found the formula a little heavier and clumped more. High Impact has a more even natural look.

This mascara is by far better! It does a way better job of separating and just overall benefits the lashes a lot more. No matter who I ask, almost everyone says that the lash doubling mascara does little to nothing for them, and I agree, although my lashes work with almost anything. This mascara is on the most favorited list of Sephora's along with other high end and cult mascaras!

Question
This mascara never fails to makes my eyes water. But it's Clinique, it's supposed to be gentle! What could I be doing wrong?
No other mascara, ever, has irritated my eyes, but without fail, every time I try this one, it gets to me almost immediately. What could it be? What's unique to this formula and wand? I desperately want to sport the dramatic high impact super-dark, glossy black, but the eyes won't have it. Why? Does anyone else struggle? Is this an example of irony?

Besides the Benefit They're Real mascara, this mascara is my favorite! I have super sensitive eyes, and it works fine for me...except for when it is getting older. With mascara, after about 2 weeks the formula starts to change and can actually develop some nasty bacteria, which is probably the cause of your itching. If not, everyone's sensitivity is different so i would try the Benefit They're Real...it's great!

That has happened to me with this mascara which i love so much for its thick glossy black lashes, which my thin eye-fringe desperatley needs! but I find if I apply it a little further from the lash base at first, it doesn't happen.

answer 3
I've noticed that happens to me when I apply the mascara when I haven't widened my eyes enough so that either the brush or the mascara itself gets into my eyes. I would suggest maybe curling your lashes first and then using the mascara so that you are applying it further away from your eyes!

I wish I knew what ingredient in it would make you allergic to it since it does the same thing to me. Throughout the day, it would irritate my eyes and my eyes would water. Then it would completely melt and get into my eye and burn...and in the process of trying to rush to the restroom to remove it, I'd rub it all over and now have black eyes! Lol.

Does this mascara run easily?
I have long blonde eyelashes and do not leave the house without mascara. My eyelids and skin are oily so I end up with smudges under my eyes if I don't wear waterproof. I do not rub my eyes and I do wear a lid primer. How does this mascara hold up?

Question
smudging
I usually work out mid day, and am a contact lens wearer and add wetting drops throughout the day. That said, I am looking for a mascara that will not give me "raccoon" eyes by the end of the day. I used to use Lancome definicils.... but the last year or so it did smuge by days end.... Did not used to?

I'm Asian and have short straight lashes. I've tried everything out there. Almost everything left me with racoon eyes and/or made no difference in the appearance of my lashes. This does not smudge! I cannot tell you how many years I've been looking. Great mascara.

Yes this mascara might smudge a little. When I use eye drops I pull my upper lid towards my eyebrow. Try to drop only one drop. Your eye cannot hold more than one small drop. Then close your eyes(but do not squint) and dab the inner corner of your eyes. If you get a little on your lashes dab your lashes with the kleenex. Try not to rub your eyes or blink too much until the drops on your lashes dry.

I wear contacts and have allergies also - they flare up with different things. So far, this has not irritated my eyes at all, washes off easily but doesn't "come off" in my eyes during the day, and is all-around great. Clinique is usually better with products and allergies, anyway, IMO. I'd say give it a try because if it doesn't irritate your eyes, it's something you'll love.
