Can thjs powder be used as a blot powder or does Clinique also make a Blot Powder?

This could be used similar to a blot powder but it really is not a dupe for one, if you are referring to MAC's blot powder. This has way more pigmentation than that product and this would be more likely to get cakey.

Yes, because this product is so light and gives great coverage it's perfect for touch ups. I rarely though never have to touch up with this product because I found that it lasts on my skin all day and I have combintation skin.

If by blot powder you mean spot treaments....... then yes it can. I have two compacts, one for my makeup bag and the other to keep in my purse for touch ups here and there. But, b/c this product is so great, I rarely have to touch up during the day or when I'm out at night. Hope this helps!

Seeing as this is a matte pressed powder and great for oily skins, using it as a blot powder is doable. I have never heard of a "blot powder" so I don't know if they make such a cosmetic. I have used blot cosmetic tissues before. However, you can browse their website to check it out.

I think this provides a natural sheer coverage. It definitely doesn't cover up significant redness or prevalent blemishes, but if you like a sheer, natural coverage, this is the one for you. I wouldn't suggest this as a blot powder because it may deposit color unevenly as you blot. If you do use it as a blot powder, I'd suggest getting a shade exactly matching your skin tone or slightly lighter.

This sheer pressed powder can be used alone or to set makeup. Depending on how you wanna use it, it really works both ways. I have used mine in 3 ways: to set my foundation (I wouldn't say it is the best at this), to take away mid-day shine (works great but comes back later - see my review) and alone over concealer for a sheer look - my preferred way to use it. I hope this helps. Best beauty wishes!

Coverage is very light, does not give a lot of coverage. Don't think it would cover green concealer.

the invisible matte shows up too brown on me. I used stay cream previously and i liked the color much better. the only plus to invisible matte is that it does not contain bismuth which makes you look oily even when you arent "they call it a glow..but i feel like its oily!" . i prefer the color powders to the invisible.

The Sephora associate recommended the invisible matte. I have pretty fair skin and I almost want to say that it may be just a tad lighter than my face's skintone but it worked well when I blended it into my neck. I just put a hint of bronzer and I'm set. I would definitely go to the store and try it first.

I use stay neutral- i have fair skin, and this color is just a tad darker than my skin tone, and im sure it would work for fair-medium skin.

Question
What color should I get?
I am Asian with olive skintone on the lighter side, especially now that summer is fading away. At my tannest, I was using Clinique Clarifying power makeup in Clarifying Honey Glow. Now I want to switch to Stay Matte since I have combination skin, but I don't know what color is the equivalent to the Clarifying Honey Glow. I need to go a shade or two lighter though, since my skintone is lightening with the coming of fall and winter. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

I think you would probably like the Stay Honey. I have a medium olive complexion similar to yours and I apply Stay Honey with a large powder brush (not the sponge that comes with this) and it's a nice natural sheer coverage. The Stay Beige was a big too light for me and made my face look a little "ghostly".

I have medium olive skin and use stay beige 03. This product is very sheer so it is forgiving. This is a great powder!

I would definitely advise you to purchase the invisible matte shade, which is the lightest one available. This sheer pressed powder is more like the MAC Blotting Powder. It doesnt give you medium-full coverage, it basically sets your foundation for you. PS. obviously you have a fair skin, therefore i would also advise you to apply some bronzer or blush to give your skin a natural glow.! Hope this helps. <3 bri

It definitely lasts all day, but it's oil-absorbing power may vary depending on the person. It doesn't take away shine for me. But it DOES last.

Question
buildable?
I apply very often, after nearly every class during school. With my previous products (Maybelline Dream Matte Pressed Powder and an Organic loose powder) I find that I look even more oily and cakey after reapplying. I really want to avoid that, especially since I'm starting my first year of High School :) PLEASE HELP!

Are you using blotting tissues or papers as well? A lot of times, if you add powder over makeup that has gotten oily, the effect is not so good. Also, you will be adding those oils to the applicator you're using, and this can cause clogged pores and pimples. If you blot and re-apply to an oil-free face, the powder may not look as cakey. Hope this helps!
