Hi! This is light weight foundation. I use the Benefit foundation brush and it works perfect. If you have imperfections you may find you need to add a concealer but if you have good skin, you probably won't need it. I am super picky and found I needed just a bit more coverage to feel better.

This is very lightweight, but also pretty 'wet'. In the store, the employee used a brush to apply it. I personally use freshly-washed hands, because I didn't like the brush strokes that appeared on my face when the employee did it. I just use my fingertips to blot it around, and then use a lightweight translucent powder to set it.

Question
Okay for combination skin.
My hair is natural, my skin color is brown, my eyes are light brown. I am looking for a foundation. I have combination skin. I break out sometimes. By midday, my skin is really shiny. I read that products with silica beads, and lecithin are good for people with combination skin. I would like to know which product I should try. Thank you.

I have combo skin and break out too. used to wear mac cuz i loved the coverage but this is not oily like mac but naturally any makeup will clog pores . You may wanna try just the clinique powder without the foundation , it covers VERY well and sometimes if i feel a break out coming on i'll just do that. look for "perfectly real compact makeup"

Question
Right foundation and powder
Hi,

I am a 35 years old Caucasian woman, and I have a combination skin leaning towards oily with large pores and some reddish areas. I do not have acne, but I m prone to have minor brakeouts. I have a hard time to find a foundation that covers my pores (I like full but natural looking coverage, as if I did not have makeup on), stays on and does not look uneven (or gone!) after only a couple of hours, leaving my face reddish, shiny, with patches of visible makeup here and there, not to mention built-up makeup around my eyes and lips. My eyes are brown, hair light brown, skin tone is medium, with slight yellowish tint. Would you please recommend a good foundation and powder combination, or maybe a couple of them, including the color? Thank you!

Kind regards,

Marcella

Clinique SuperBalanced may be for you! It moisturizes on it's own, plus it's from Clinique, so it doesn't settle into pores making them bigger and more pronounced, but keeps them clear and unclogged! Also, the brand may help reduce your occasional breakouts and redness!

Good Luck!

Clinique is constantly changing different products and discontinues products periodically - try going to a Clinique counter at your local department store & find a color that is similar, also if you have an oilier complexion, the "stay-true" foundation works wonders if you apply with a professional sponge.

Ivory is not dark. This would probably be a good color for you. I have fair skin as well and Ivory looks very natural and balanced.

Hi - Superbalanced does work well on oily skin but you might get better results with Supernatural. Both are very good. Supernatural has slightly more dry finish that I think might be better for an oily skin tone.

I recommend to get samples at Sephora or department stores and compare colors in daylight. I had to return a few foundations even after trying at the store b/c is different light.

If you look at Clinique's color chart (in which there are plenty of colors), I would go with the shade darker to that one. Try contacting a Clinique professional either by phone or at your local department store at the Clinique section... They can recommend something. I would go with the next shade down if you are unable to find the porcelain. Last thing you need is to look like a ghost! Best wishes to you!
