No it does not contain an SPF. It is VERY glossy and shiny on the lips which to me is a plus, but it did tend to dry my lips out though which is not so good.

Yes, Clinique Superbalm does have petroleum...I believe it is the main ingredient, based on my experience. If you are looking for a high quality all-natural lip treatment product, I would suggest Sugar by Fresh. It instantly moisturizes lips and works great alone, as a night treatment, or a lipstick base.

Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey looks good on everyone. I remember that this was popular when I was in high school, and girls of all colors and shades were able to wear it beautifully!

Girl you can wear any color you feel comfortable with get crazy every now and then if you like; all you have to do is neutralize your lip color with a concealer and you're good. Check out youtube there are thousands of videos that can give you step by step instructions on how to conceal your lips. I hope this was helpful

Try the Superbalm in Black Honey or the Almost lipstick also in Black Honey. That is one of Clinique's top sellers for 20 years. I have a dark upper lip. I like to line with a wine color lip pencil. High Drama by Clinique was my number one until it was discontinued. Then use a champagne color lipgloss or lipstick as the "icing" by using it right in the middle of your bottom lip. It's sexy at night but balances the look by day.
Just remember, with the high pigment in your natural lip color, you need to use a high pigment lip liner/lipstick. Don't be afraid to test a deeper shade than your girlfriends would test. Look for beauty advisors with the same coloring to assist you or ask people who you see on the street, etc what they are wearing. We are always happy to share ;0)
