this product is probably the best thing that's every happened to you if you have sensitive eyes. it is so gentle, it actually feels lovely when I use it. It even doesn't bug me when it gets in my eye.

I have very sensitive skin as well. This has never bothered my eyes.

Hey! I, too, have extremely sensitive eyes with flaking issues. I started this new, kind of harsh prescription retinol/antibiotic, so flaking and sensitivity are big issues for me.

Absolutely. Clinique products are hypo-allergenic and this product is even Ophthalmologist tested. I have gotten huge amounts of it DIRECTLY into my eyes and it has never stung or burned AT ALL. i would try bifacil from lancome it takes off heavier mascara's easily. It has a lipid in it which feels oily but it is safe for contacts.

I haven't used the particular mascara that you named, but I've had some real doozies stuck on my lashes in the past. I've been using this product pretty much since it came out because it always works. You might have to use a little more product to remove all traces of mascara, but doing that is lots better than all that rubbing. Rubbing really hurts! Also, this product is perfectly safe for contact-lens wearers. I just recommend using cotton pads instead of cotton balls to avoid fibers in the eyes and lashes.

I love that mascara, but I hate that it comes off in tiny "tubes" or whatnot. Clinique Take the Day Off will work, but you will make an oily mess in the process. I suggest using a cotton make-up pad, cool water, and an eyelash comb instead.

You might want to try this Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover. It's pretty amazing. Waterproof mascara need makeup remover that contain oil base to clean it off. Also, you can try cleansing oil (Shu Umenura or Boscia).

While this makeup is certainly not oil-free, it works better than others I have tried. I stopped using my lash-injection mascara, because I had the same problem. I loved the mascara, but nothing really got it completely off. This worked best, but still not completely.

I too like that Too Faced Lash Injection mascara! I use Clinque's Take the Day Off Remover for all my stubborn eye make-up removing needs, and it works great. The trick I've found with this mascara and the other waterproof ones I wear, is to hold the cotton ball with the remover onto your eyelid for a few seconds instead of just wiping. It helps the product to saturate the lashes, allowing for less wiping (pulling/tugging) of the eye area. I honestly don't know any waterproof eye make-up that comes off too 'easily,' but this product works well and is gentle. It doesn't irritate the eye lids (and says that its safe for contact lens wearers). Hope this helps.

I have the same problem with similar eye makeup. Read the reviews before you decide to purchase - I had problems in that I didn't feel this was totally tugless, and I didn't like the oily residue on my skin. I have found that foaming, cream-based cleansers (I just bought one from L'Oreal - look for information that it will remove makeup) are the only products that will really remove my eye makeup.

Try using Clinque's Take the Day off Make-up Remover. Eye make-up remover is unique since you shake it up before use and has no parabens which can be irritating after time. Plus if used with a soft cotton ball and a little time it will remove just about everything. I had no tugging problems what so ever.

There is no expiration date listed on the box or bottle, the substance does seperate but that is regardless of age.

I would say that after you open it, you should finish it within a few months. I've never had a problem with it expiring, but if it looks like it has changed color, is the wrong consistency, or irritates your eyes, definitely stop using it. Hope this helped!

Doesn't have an expiration date on it. I would say it depends on if it has been contaminated with bacteria.....for example by dipping a cotton swab in the bottle, using it on your eye and then redipping the same end of the swab back in the bottle. If there's a chance of bacteria building up, better to be safe then sorry.

I don't think so, I've never noticed a date stamped anywhere. However, I use mine just about every day so it doesn't hang around for more than a year. It does last several months, though, just so you don't think it runs out too quickly!

I don't know if you do, but I wear contacts. It doesn't burn more than water if it gets in my eyes. It's also not tested on animals.

YES - it IS better than Lancome's Bi-Facil. I've tried them both and prefer Clinique's "Take The Day Off" much, much better!!!!!!!! Any time I've used something else - I've truly regretted it (and so have my sensitive eyes). Clinique's product is also NOT oily and does NOT leave any kind of "film" or residue in your eyes. I used to use Lancome's Bi-facil and will never go back to it......as long as Clinique makes this product - I'll continue to use it faithfully!

I am a devoted Bi-Facil user, have been for almost 10 years now. I tried this and while it worked REALLY well, my eyes are too sensitive and it makes them sting a little even though it is really gentle. It also leaves them a little oily, which isn't a problem I have had with Bi-Facil. Lastly, and this is neither here nor there for most, the dual phase separates a lot faster so you have to work quickly or you'll be sticking the lid back on to re-shake. If your eyes aren't super sensitive and you're willing to quickly dab with a cotton pad when you're done, this would be perfect for you and you'll save 1/3 the price.

I've used both and I prefer the Clinique product because it doesn't separate as distinctly as the Lancome product does, and that way I can pour it into my smaller travel containers. I think it's a little more moisturizing, too.

I love Bi-facil but am switching to TTDO as it is cheaper! I always splash cold water on my eyes after taking off my makeup and then I check to see if there is any eye make-up residue and go over it again. I am 43 and have been hardcore makeup wearer for 20+ years. I have the most minimal of light lines in my eye area which I think is also due to my makeup removar!

I don't know if this helps, but I have been using the Take the Day off Make-up remover, and although its pretty oily, it really does lift away makeup much better than a lot of other products i have purchased thus far. Try it out, it doesn't cost that much now does it? And lancome is definitely a lot more expensive, so who knows, maybe this is the product that you will eventually fall in love with

The best anti-aging tip I know is sun protection: sunscreen, hats, shade, etc. See a dermatologist for Vitamin A derivative products (retinol-type) for acne and acne scarring--I have read that you don't get enough of it in OTC products as you would from an M.D.

Well this product has nothing to do with preventing or controlling acne as it is a makeup remover. But acne treatments such as Retin-A(tretinion) which contains retinol, are very affective at preventing and treating acne. I personally use this treatment. You need to remember that your skin will get worse before it begins to clear up and its a frustrating process but well worth it. It also helps with scars such as acne scaring and helps prevent aging.

For now, I'd concentrate on finding a product that controls your acne. I've used Clinique for years, and it does wonders. I'd pass on the toner part of the steps tho - their soaps are already ph balanced enough that the toner can easily overdry skin. Be kind to your skin tho, and let it get used to a routine before you change anything. Changing soaps, lotions and what not all at the same time can cause hard core breakouts. What I do know, is that high levels of Vitamin A can fight off acne. (which is the main ingredient of this pill called Isotetronin, i think, that helps solve severe acne conditions that no other cures can fix) For the scarring, try anti-wrinkle products, because they tend to remove and kill the cells on the surface of your skin so that new skin cells are born. (i think neutrogena has some excellent lotion for anti-wrinkle effects called healthy skin, which you can look into if you are worried that regular lotion might worsen acne breakouts :)

It doesn't help with acne as it doesn't contain retinol. However, I also have an adult acne problem and can tell you from experience that it doesn't hurt either. The directions say to rinse off, but I leave it on my eyes as an overnight moisturizer. I just recommend cotton pads over cotton balls or Q-tips as the latter two products leave fibers behind which can irritate eyes and get tangled in lashes. DO rinse around lips when using there.

Hi this will not help with acne because it is oily anyway. But if you want something to help you with acne then u should the "aint misbehavin" acne mask....it literally dries all your pimples up. u leave it on for 10 minutes and u use it upto 3 times a week. I have been using it cuz i had a breakout and it got rid of all my pimples in a week!

I am in the same situation. I'm 22 and still fighting breakouts and becoming more concerned about wrinkles.
For me I have found products that inhibit the production of bacteria like benzoyl peroxide and tea tree oil have worked wonders. I usually mix tea tree oil in with face lotion and it prevents breakouts it also has help to fade some acne scares, warning it will take almost a month to see any improvement with tea tree oil. I use a topical benzoyl peroxide treatment at night. I also own and use a Clarisonic morning and night which works wonders (my dermatologist also uses one in office).
For anti-aging I use a nighttime lotion that contains vitamins and an eye creme.
If your acne is moderate to bad I would suggest a dermatologist if you can afford one before booking an appointment ask around for recommendations.

Take the Day Off is not designed to help with acne. Just to remove eye and lip makeup. However, it does not interfere with acne. I too have sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts and it has not worsened them.

Perhaps the cap is cross threaded and you need to replace it? Press down and then at the same time turn it to the left. If that doesn't work have them replace it.

Put bottle on a hard surface and press down firmly while turning counter-clockwise. If this doesn't work, you may have a defective container. I've used this for years and have never had a problem opening. Good luck

I have only tried the take the day off,so I cant compare to the other product you mentioned,but I wll say,the take the day off is the best eye makeup remover ever!!! No sting,on oily residue,and it even removes waterproof mascara without any excessive eye rubbing.I wouldnt buy anything else for my sensiive eyes!!!
