I think the difference between Clinique Happy Heart and Clinique Happy are the citrus notes in Happy. Happy Heart is more floral, whereas I find Happy is more citrusy.

I am a HUGE clinique happy lover, so I was excited to try this. I think if you like Happy then you will LOVE Happy Heart!! It has a bit more sweet and floral twist on Happy. A definite must have :)

The original Clinique Happy smells SO wonderful on my family members. It does not smell great on me. BUT the Happy Heart smells wonderful on me. Depending on your body chemistry one will smell better on you than the other I guess. The original scent smells older and sophisticated, the Happy Heart smells more energetic and floral, lighter, romantic. On me the original fragrance smells like a vinagrette or just off/weird. But I loved the original on my family members. I bought the original and gave it away after a few days then bought the Happy Heart.

Clinique Happy Heart has a more fresher crisp scent to it almost sweet but not stomaching turning sweet. Clinique Happy has the same smell but without the sweetest, very good scent as well, great for summer!

I actually prefer Happy over Happy Heart. Happy heart is much more floral and sweet with less dimension and verve than Happy. Happy is more sensual and dramatic.

For me I smelled both side by side and the Happy has a lot more of a floral scent, and for me that was way to over powering, where as Happy Heart has a floral hint, but then a nice freshness that comes in. In my opinion the Happy Heart is more of an everyday scent that you can use, where as Happy is too much for every day ( you would smell like you slept in flowers every night.. unless thats what your going for. lol )

Happy Heart has a really fresh clean smell and you can't smell it but people turn and give me compliments when I walk pass them. Everytime I enter a room I get a compliment and that's what makes Happy Heart different for me than Happy.

Question
Is the melon really apparent in this fragrance?
Haven't had a chance to test smell it yet. Am considering a blind buy. All the notes sound nice except the melon (I'm not really a fan of melon scents). Is the melon a key note or very obvious in this fragrance? Thanks!

Cannot smell the melon at all. Did not know it had melon. This is a Very floral scent. You will primarilly smell the Primrose and Mandarin. It's very pretty and romantic, but it lightens to a point where you can barely smell it so you may have to put a little more on in the afternoon.

No, the melon isn't a HUGE note in Happy Heart. It may be different on you (fragrances are always different on each person), but I smell mostly grass and flowers. :)

There is no melon in this fragrance, perhaps you were thinking of a different scent? I now use this as my "signature scent" and find it very light and floral. I cannot detect the cucumber either. I agree with the "style" notes as well...I find it fresh and optimistic and think the name is quite appropriate as when I mist it on it makes me smile...every time. If you like floral scents I believe you would enjoy this.

I love Happy Heart, I get so many compliments from so many people, especially men, five to be exact they come and stand by my desk and sniff my fragrance and they love, when I am out of the office they always tell me they missed my fragrance and enjoy being in my presence. I really, really love it.

Different as night and day. Happy is supposed to be a bright, citrusy scent, but it smells sugary and rancid (at least on me). Happy Heart is like a spring garden. :)
