Bliss Hot Salt Scrub

What it is:A self-heating, relaxing body exfoliator. What it is formulated to do:This luxurious scrub is a self-heating gel for some spa-strength smoothing action. Demolish dry, tough skin and leave rough spots seriously smooth, soft, and hydrated. Therapeutic actives warm as you rub, loosening knots and bundled muscles, while a combination of eucalyptus, rosemary, and, lavender essential oil stimulate the senses and provide some serious sinus-clearing. What else you need to know: The combination of heating glycerin and dead sea salt grains softens and sloughs, for a double whammy on rough areas.

It's a minty eucalyptus smell, like Vick's. It's not perfumey like sugar scrubs.

rosemary, eucalyptus - just like being at the spa - it is sublime!

I agree with other reviewers that it is reminiscent of Vick's Vapor rub. Then again, the description says that it contains vaporizing oils so it didn't surprise me. I found that it did kind of remind me of menthol.

To me, the eucalyptus oils, make the scrub smell similar to Vick's Vapor Rub or Chamomile tea (sccording to my husband) . Two scents that I am not fond of, but do not absolutely abhor. If you enjoy the two scents, then you're in the clear. Enjoy.

Eucalyptus is used in lots of floral arrangements, especially around Christmus. It's also used in cough drops, so it can clear a sinus passage really fast. It's not a bad smell - it's used to clear the air, and in some air fresheners. It's strong, but it doesn't last. This is a real spa treatment that really works.

Hope that helps.

This smells like Vick's...if you like eucalyptus you will like it (invigorating and a wake up vs medicine-y if you don't) you can always use body wash afterwards to get rid of the scent if you dont.

No, I would NOT use this on your face. It has really rough salt and I also don't know if youw ant the different oils close to your eyes. Probably not a great idea.

For me, I would not use this product as a facial scrub, as the oils may irritate one's skin and possible cause break outs and the scent may be overwhelming.

You sure can! Just be sure not to scrub too hard; the salts in this scrub are amazing and deliver great results with a gentle scrubbing motion.

It's too rough to be used as a facial scrub. It would be as effective as rubbing sandpaper on your face. Definitely not a good idea. Fantastic scrub to use on your legs before shaving though!

I would not use this product on my face. The heat, salt , and essential oils are a bit too intense for face use, but your feet, legs & arms will love it.

I wouldn't recommend it. While salt is moisturizing, this scrub is a little harsh for facial skin.

I wouldn't because my facial skin is pretty sensitive-it is a very harsh scrub in my opinion-a little too harsh for the face.

I would not use this as a facial scrub, it is much too harsh (made for exfoliating thicker skin areas like elbows, knees) plus you would want something that doesn't leave residue to clog your pores

Question
How is this different or better than the other exfoliator by Bliss?
I have tried so many exliators by Philosophy which all smell, grea, but they don;t seem to work for me (although they stiuol have a salt scrub I'd like to try). I was thinking of trying something other than Philosophy,a nd I saw so many wonderful exfoliators on sephora.com. Fress, Bliss, and so many others. I decided t go w/Bliss, butwhich one?? THES SELL 2 DIFFERENT SCRUBS/EXFOILLIATORS, BOHT WHICH NEED TO BE RUBBEDIN PRIOR TO SHOWER. WHICH ONE TO USE?HOW ARE THE DIFFERENT? WHICH IS BETTER FOR AWFULLYU DRY AND EXTREMELY SENSIITVE SKIN? MY LEGS ARE THE MOST DRY DESPITE THE WONDERDUL LOTIONS I USE. I AM THINKING I NEED AND EXCELLENT EXFOLIATOR SO MY MOISTURIZERS CANWORK (ON BODY). WHICH BLISS IS BEST FOR ME PLEASE?

I've used both the Lemon-Sage Body Scub and Hot Salt Scrub, and the Hot Salt Scub is my favourite (I had actually gone into Sephora looking for theLemon-Sage Scrub, and all they had was the Hot Salt, so I picked it up and became an instant convert). They both do a great job buffing your skin, but my skins loves the Hot Salt Scrub because I found it left me better moisturized. I have oily and sensitive skin with dry patches on my legs. I don't need to use moisturizer after using this product, so you may find for your extremely dry skin a little extra moisturizer may help.

I wouldn't go with bliss. It smells good, but I do not think it rids of too much dry skin. I am on a search for a nice scrub as well. I personally prefer sugar scrubs. Good luck!

I have psoriasis and have used salt scrubs on it - which work wonders. But I have never used one that heats. Thank you for any input.

I love this scrub, but I don't really feel like its as hot as they make it sound. Its warm but you don't really notice the heat if you are taking a hot shower.
