Yes, that is exactly how I use it. I apply this gel, then a corrector (cover stick) then my foundation. It works better than any other primer I have ever used.

I use this as my primer and foundation but use a little loose powder for that extra airbrushed look, i think it might look too heavy for a primer under another foundation although i havent tried it.

I don't know how this works under liquid foundation but I've worn it under my Laura Mercier mineral foundation and it looks great, makes skin look, flawless and you don't need as much foundation

I've tried Smashbox primer but it left my face shiny. I recommended Smashbox Photo Finish to a friend and she LOVES it... makes her make up smoother and her face softer. But her skin is younger and drier than mine.

I found this product works best for me. I don't know if that helps you... you can ask for sample sizes at Sephora and try and try until you find one you like.

Don't waste your money
If you want to spend ten minutes tapping this on your skin...then buy it
If you have dry skin..don't get this
It gives a very matte look
It's a mousse so it has to be applied by tapping and tapping into your skin.
Get something else....like givenchy face foundation

In my experience, it's not really comparable to any of those things. It's really more of a primer with a hint of color. I use a bronzer on top of it to add a bit more color, and I feel it lasts all day w/o settling in fine lines like most foundations do. I also prefer it to the tinted moisturizers b/c I don't like the stickiness and scent of those I've tried.

I really like makeup forever foundation and primer...this product is much lighter than a bonafide foundation...I wear it when I want very light coverage and don't have the time to apply the makeup forever. it leaves me with a clean and polished look that goes on lighter than moisturizer.

How much coverage does this give?

So... if I wear this will it act as a tinted moisturizer or will it give enough coverage to work as a foundation? I have pretty clear skin, but I still like a uniform coverage for discolorations and whatnot. My skin is slighty oily, but not THAT much. So I don't really want it to slide around....

I think this would work well for you. It gives me enough coverage to even out most of my face, but I still need a concealer under my eyes and over any blemishes. I have oily skin and this stays put. I really love it.

This is NOT a foundation, description does not mention it even though the label within the store is "foundation". I would recommend using tinted moisturizer for a light even tone throughout the face (benefit or stila or philosophy). Or a primer if you want to decrease pores and fine lines and decrease oiliness. No coverage whatsoever for me. I have a few blemishes here and there... did not do a thing for them, and did not decrease my pores or get rid of some dryness I had on one spot of my face.

I have the same prob and tend to break out with about everything I put on my face but I used the sample I received and loved it! Wound up buying it and use it everyday and the plus no breakouts non oily and it actually improves your skin tone diminishing breakpouts and large pores.

I also used the Skin Perfection Gel under my eyes until I started using their Eye Perfection Gel 2 months ago and it works wonderfully b/c it also comes in the different shades. The eye gel also has a soothing effect and keeps eye shadow from creasing so it is definitely worth the money as well b/c you can eliminate your eye shadow primer if you use one.

I used to use Skin Perfection Gel under my eyes too and never had a problem, but they have a new product for the eyes now - I just saw it in store in NYC - Eye Perfection Gel. Its available online here too - you should definitely check it out! Hope this helps!

I use perfekt below my eyes as a base for my concealer as well as on my eyelids when I need a little extra evenness. I have had no problem doing this, so based on my experience I would say it is safe. On a side note I do not wear contacts so I'm not sure if that would make a difference.

I have sensitive skin, will the lipoic acid in Perfekt irriate my skin?

Some products seem to cause my skin to become red and irritated, i.e., I just received the Clarisonic brush and I am not sure if the Kinerase Peptide C (spell?) or just the brush irriated my skin. Today I used the brush without the Kinerase and it was a little irriated; however, not as much. I still think the brush is too abrasive for my skin and may need to return it if it continues to leave my skin chapped looking. I am 51 with blue eyes and silver hair (more like a silvery white) and a slight red tone to my face, medium pores which is why I am interested in the Perfekt (it says reduces redness...).

I have very sensitive skin due to renova use and this does not irritate it. On a separate note, the Alpha lipoic acid is actually an amino acid which is used in vitamin supplements - I take it in pill form and that really helps my skin. Your best bet is to ask a sephora staff member if you can try it first - They let you sample products for free. Even if you decide to buy and it does not work for you, Sephora has a great return policy, you have up to 60 days to return, and as long as you keep the receipt, get all your cash back.

I have a meduim skin tone and I used the "rich" color. It made my skin look more tan, but not orange. I would recommend choosing a darker color than your skin to make it glow.
