They say it's not foundation, so the coverage is not heavy. I love it for that reason! Say you run out the door quickly and you don't have time to do much, this product is THE ANSWER to looking great in 30 seconds. I love to layer it also, for better coverage. Honestly, there is no wrong way to use Perfekt!

you can easily wear this product alone. i just covered some acne scars with a mineral foundation, only where i needed a little more coverage. it blended very well with the rest of my skin where i had only used the perfekt on.

Either/or. I think it really depends on your skin. For minor imperfections this and maybe a little concealer could be all you need. It works great under foundation as a primer too, so you can use it either way.

depends on how "flawless" you want your look to be. For the gym, I just use the perfekt alone; for a more finished look, especially if you have some discoloration scars as I do, I couple it with powder foundation except in the t-zone. since this foundation is fairly pricey, it's nice to be able to use a less expensive foundation as a complement

that depends on the level of coverage you need, i only use this now instead of foundation, it gives me a natural, airbrushed look, but i don't have many issues to cover. the lady at the store showed me that you can layer the product too to add more coverage if you need it. i would go to the store and try the tinted ones in person and see what you think. but i totally love them and its made my routine much easier than foundation and concealer and powder, etc. ..

answer 13
If you need to cover things on your face like serious blemishes/dark spots/scars, etc, this alone definitely will not do it. It does add a nice glow and helps with the overall skin tone, but the coverage is very sheer, like a tinted moisturizer, so I would recommend using a more full-coverage foundation/concealer with it, or just skipping this altogether if you want more coverage...it is pretty expensive.

I think it can be worn alone only if you have great skin to begin with, i.e, your age, sun damage, etc. If you generally wear foundation then I don't believe this product on it's own is what you would be used to.

Of course! I use it as a primer before my foundation or concealer. I apply it with my finger tips and let it sink into my skin and settle before I apply my foundation. I don't recommend using this product by itself though if you have post acne scars or skin discolorations etc, doesn't cover much.

Go for it! I use this under Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet and you would never know I've ever had any skin issues whatsoever. This takes care of large pores and rough textures and paves the way for the color correction a foundation will provide. It does not make my foundation cake at all and Mat Velvet is a very dense formula.

this product would be perfect for that, depending on how much coverage you are looking for, you might not even need all the extra steps of concealer and foundation. go to the store and try the tinted versions and see if thats enough coverage for you. the sales associate also told me that you can layer the product to add more coverage if needed. but yes, you could totally use underneath your normal makeup routine, i would probably suggest the clear version then, but try the tinted one at the store and see

The product is gel based, and it pumps out as a liquid but quickly "solidifies", so I wouldn't recommend mixing it with anything else, or it will just end up clumping up. Maybe try to go to a local Sephora and test it out to see if it works, though...

You can try and mix them; I would try it with a highlighter with some shimmer; you know the shimmer abosorbs and reflects light so it will also make your skin look younger and radiant, beware those with oily skin, pick oil free products and take t easy with the shimmer, you don´t want to look shiny all over.

I would suggest the shade that is just ABOVE clear. It's very light, and the gel itself is nearly translucent anyway. I'm very pale but tend to get golden tan whenever I'm able, and I always use the same color (Radiant, I think). It won't make you look orange or anything to use a little bit of color, and I doubt that the clear will actually provide the benefits that you might be seeking ...

I *swear* by Perfekt's eye gel - it really is perfect! If you wear "Radiant" in the skin perfection gel, I would tentatively go for Bright (if you're on the fairer side) or Refreshed (if you're light/medium). Before you buy, though, I would recommend going to a Sephora store if you can and having an associate try it on you. I'm very fair, and I use Bright, which is perfect. The shades are pretty forgiving (there are only three with pigment), so either one should be fine.

It seems as though the color disappears once you put it on, but I would still try to match the color to my skin as close as possible. If you don't know what color to purchase, they also have a clear gel that works the same when I tested it.

I would use the color that best matches your skin tone (Radiant is safe for most light to medium skin tones. Rich for medium to olive). It is very sheer so it really just evens out the skin tone and makes your skin look better. You can easily get away with using a shade or two darker since it is so sheer and you'll look like you came back from a vacation, not a fake bake oven.

It won't fill in the marks in your skin but it's a really amazing camouflage. It goes on with a very light texture and improves skin appearance. If your scars are light, you could probably use this (as well as anything) to cover trouble spots. What makes it different than other foundations (powders, mineral, liquid, etc.) is that it goes on in an invisible way. When you have it on, you cannot tell where it's at--it blends that well. It doesn't seep into lines or marks on your face, so it should work well on blemish areas you want to airbrush.
