Questions & Answers for Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Cellular Eye Creme

Question
Is eye irritation normal?
I have been using this cream for a few days now, and it stings so bad after I apply it that it makes my eyes water. It does not make them red or itchy or anything like that, it is just a stinging sensation. Is anyone else experiencing the same? I have sensitive eyes and some creams do bother it, but at this price, I hate to let it go...

You might be putting the cream too close to your eye. I put it on the skin above my cheeks and under eye area, but not too near my eye .

I noticed some stinging after putting it on also, but then I started to not put it so high up near my eye and I also put a fan on to let it dry quicker so none of the lotion irritates it and I haven't had a problem with it since then.

How exactly are you applying it? It sounds like you don't need very much product, and it would work with the heat of your skin toward your eye. If you are using a tiny amount, and applying it at the orbital bone underneath the eye only, and it is still causing irritation, then that's not good. I don't know if you are supposed to use it on the eyelid or not. I just know that most products you are not supposed to use it past the orbital bone. Good Luck!

The very first time I put it on, I did notice a stinging sensation but, it did not happen again. We are all different and if this is stinging you then just send it back and try something else.

I would use the power K Eye Rescue over this, because I have slight dark circles, and this really didn't help. Also, my friend has extreme dark circles, and her derm. recommended a lotion called Vita-K with Vitamin K, and she found it in the drugstore years ago, but I haven't been able to find it unfortunately, as it worked and was much cheaper than PTK products, sigh.

I do not think this is what you are looking for. It is more of a hydrating cream rather than diminishing dark circles.

Samples are a great way to try new products & we include three free samples with every Sephora.com order. The sample selection is listed on our website and changes frequently, so check back often to see what we're offering. At this time we are unable to send custom samples from our warehouse.

Another great way to try new products is to visit your local Sephora store. At the store, a Cast Member can make a tester for you of any products that we carry. They can also answer questions for you and make recommendations for other products. To find a store near you, check out our store locator. Thanks!

I have not tried the one you're comparing... but I've tried TONS of eye creams.. cheap and REALLY expensive. This is the best one I've ever used and I love it!! Also, you get twice as much in this product!! Total bonus!! Good luck!

This does not contain the UnWrinkle complex. It is gentler and more moisturizing that the UnWrinkle eye. I would love to see PTR come up with a formula that combines the two!

answer 2
Un-wrinkle in for mature skin with deeper lines. It contains peptides and argireline which is alternative to botox. But I found a lot of warnings on the internet about argireline, that it causes sagging etc (I don't know if that's true), so just google it and make decision what you need. I think for younger skin is better to use gentle products to prevent wrinkles, not to fight them (because their not there yet). I hope it helps!

Question
% vitamin c?
What's the % of vitamin c in this products?
I used Active C Eyes from La Roche Posay with 5% Vit C and really liked it. I disliked the package though, the cap broke twice and vitamin c oxidizes.
