I don't believe this product is meant for oily skin. (1) The Peter Thomas Roth description says this is made for "normal to very dry skin", mentioning nothing about oily skin. (2) After having used it for a goodly amount of time, I don't even find it to be right for normal skin. Most of the reviewers who rave about it do describe themselves as having dry skin. Thus it's not surprising that this product is very heavy and very oily. Because of this, I can only believe it would clog certain pores, especially the easily-clogged pores which oily skin is said to have. (3) Some dermatologists claim that oily skin does need moisturizing but they immediately add that it needs the RIGHT type of moisturizing -- i.e., the kind that's made specifically for oily skin, so that the moisturizer won't aggravate such skin's current problems. Due to items (1) - (3), above, if you want to try a moisturizer, you'd be much better off checking to see if Peter Thomas Roth AND certain other companies (such as some here on Sephora) have moisturizers which are specific for oily skin. Before deciding which one to try, do read what the reviewers say, 1st; and 2nd, definitely DO make sure the one you choose has received a truly significant number of high ratings, too -- not only on this site but AT LEAST 1 other site, as well. When it comes to consumer goods, checking more than 1 site for User Ratings is much like "getting a second opinion" in the world of doctors. :-) Hope this helps. Best wishes!
