Questions & Answers for Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Cellular Creme

Question
Peter Thomas Roth Lines
I am about to make a significant purchase of Peter Thomas Roth skin care.
However, I am not sure which skin care line I need.

I am 60, fair skinned with deep wrinkles around the mouth and laugh lines.
I also have sagging area on the neck and around the mouth. Crows feet as well.

Do I buy the Mega Rich or the Unwrinkle. Basically I need wrinkle treatment and lifting? Do I mix them?

Thanks

I adore the PTR 10% Glycolic moisturizer. I'm 44 and have been using it for 4 or 5 years and the wrinkles are staying away. You will get better, smoother results with 10% glycolic than this product, but this product is much easier on the skin- no stinging, no flaking, very moisturizing.

The product jar says it is dermatologist tested. I tend to break out with either acne or dermatitis, and this product hasn't at all made me break out. In fact, after treating skin irritation, I find that a small amount of this cream helps to soothe.

I have acne prone skin but not around my eyes. Eye creams should only go around the orbital bone and so far no breakouts in that area.

I would have to say that the product might be a bit too moisturizing for you if you have combination skin. I 'think' Peter Thomas Roth offers a lighter version of this product that would be better for your skin type. Maybe you could get a sample of it to try first before purchasing -- unless you are like me and don't have a Sephora close by.

I purchased the PTR anti-aging sample type sizes. I love them. I was using the PM serum w the cellular creme and bought the larger size. I think my skin looks smoother and brighter and I am 60. Hope it works for you.

Question
Is there a better creme for my skin?
I am 39 years old that loves the sun. i've been using PTR Mega Rich cream for about four months now. In the four months I've noticed a difference in my skin tone, but not sure on the fine wrinkles. Is there a better Anti-Aging creme out there without breaking the bank, or should I give it more time with PTR Mega Rich.

I adore the PTR 10% glycolic moisturizer. It's my regular, daily creme, and much stronger for wrinkles. But, it does have 10% glycolic, and that can be quite harsh on the skin for new users. I love the results I get with AHA's (glycolic, lactic acids), but I also use Mega Rich during the winter months because it is much more gently and much more moisturizing.

I don't believe this product is meant for oily skin. (1) The Peter Thomas Roth description says this is made for "normal to very dry skin", mentioning nothing about oily skin. (2) After having used it for a goodly amount of time, I don't even find it to be right for normal skin. Most of the reviewers who rave about it do describe themselves as having dry skin. Thus it's not surprising that this product is very heavy and very oily. Because of this, I can only believe it would clog certain pores, especially the easily-clogged pores which oily skin is said to have. (3) Some dermatologists claim that oily skin does need moisturizing but they immediately add that it needs the RIGHT type of moisturizing -- i.e., the kind that's made specifically for oily skin, so that the moisturizer won't aggravate such skin's current problems. Due to items (1) - (3), above, if you want to try a moisturizer, you'd be much better off checking to see if Peter Thomas Roth AND certain other companies (such as some here on Sephora) have moisturizers which are specific for oily skin. Before deciding which one to try, do read what the reviewers say, 1st; and 2nd, definitely DO make sure the one you choose has received a truly significant number of high ratings, too -- not only on this site but AT LEAST 1 other site, as well. When it comes to consumer goods, checking more than 1 site for User Ratings is much like "getting a second opinion" in the world of doctors. :-) Hope this helps. Best wishes!

Question
Will this help the look of deep wrinkles
I am 56, never had any kind of injections or surgery. Is this really the correct product, and should it be used with the Unwrinkle Night Cream, or used by itself twice a day? Under eyes?

I use Retin A t night and this PTR cream in the morning. I don't think you need to combine 2 products at night. Use the unwrinkle cream at night, but if you gett too dry or irritated use the mega rich cream instead until your skin is balanced again.

This is definitely a great cream for more mature skin. It is very hydrating, tightens skin, boosts collagen and plumps skin, and also help with lines and wrinkles. You can either use in conjunction with the Unwrinkle NIght Cream (use this product in the day and the Unwrinkle night in the evening) or you can just use the Mega Rich 2x a day, whichever you prefer. We would suggest using the corresponding Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Cellular Eye Creme as your eye product, as it is created for the eye area specifically.
