Questions & Answers for Lancome TEINT IDOLE ULTRA - Enduringly Divine & Comfortable Makeup 14-Hour Retouch-Free, Oil-Free

Question
Does this make you look like a ghost in pictures?
I used to use Estee Lauder's Doublewear until I saw myself in pictures. In MY mirror, I looked normal- but in pictures, I looked like a grayish, white ghost. Someone told me that whatever is in the makeup that gives it staying power gives you that look in pics. Is this also true of this makeup?

Unfortunatelly is does, but inside pics only (in the club). You can add blush, and highlight your skin, that helps.

I wear Bisque 6 (W). I started using it about 2 months ago and have yet to see a picture of me that did not look completely natural. No ghost here!

This is an oil-free makeup and it has never made me break out. I have always had to be very careful about that issue, too.

No it is not. My skin is breakouts-prone and this is the only one foundation I can wear without having them.
I recommend 100% for oily skin or acne prone skin.

Question
Please help me choose a shade. Thanks!
Hi, I'm Asian, very fair skin with lots of yellow undertone. I've always used Chanel's foundations in Color 20 Clair/Cameo (which is just slightly too dark for me). May I know what shade should I use for Teint Idole Ultra? Thanks!

My skin is like yours and I was matched at a Sephora store with Buff 2(w). Hope this helps.

I wear buff 6 and I think it would be a little too dark for you...I'm a light/medium to medium now with yellow undertones-I was matched at the store. When I'm lighter/not tan, they match me at Ivory 4, so maybe that would work for you. I would consider it to be fair with yellow undertones.

Try Buff 6(w). It definitely has yellow undertones, but I am not sure if it will be too dark for you if you are very fair. Try a lighter color but stick with the (w) designation as I think these shades are more yellow based.

my friend uses this product also and she said the "w" stands for warm (like warm skin tones) and "c" for cool.. but that could be wrong!

c is for 'cool" and w is for "warm", meaning your complexion. If you have pink undertones to your skin, get c. If your skin looks mor yellow, buy w.

This foundation is made for oily and normal skin types. Because you are normal skin, be sure you are well hydrated under it before applying.

Question
what color foundation do you recommend for light to medium skin with lots of gold? in the lancome brand?
most foundations tend to look pink on my skin when in the sunlight. i have been using prescriptives brand because they have more golden colors. i am very golden/yellow.

I have fair skin with red undertones. I use Buff 2 W. You can use anything with a W in the name to cancel out redness.

I have a lot of gold/ "warm" tones in my skin too. I use Teint Idole Ultra in Bisque 0 (w). For reference, in Prescriptives, I'd wear Virtual Matte in Matte Ivory.

Question
Are any of the shades really light enough for extremelly fair skin?
I have extremely light skin, so light that I have never found a foundation as light as my skin-tone in my entire life. From looking at just the swatches on this website, they all look too tan to me. Are any of them as fair as my rare skin-tone needs?

Yes there are light shades in here. I absolutely love this line of make-up. I have very fair skin in the winter and I use this line all the time. It depends if you have a pink undertone or a beige/olive undertone to your fair skin, but they have excellent color choices for both.

Question
what's the best way to apply this?
i've tried using an ordinary, triangle foundation sponge, but it seems to absorb the foundation quickly, and then the foundation itself goes on very lightly

I found that the best way to apply this would be with your fingers, and without a sponge. Make sure your hands are clean though :) You are right, the sponge absorbs it waay too fast and you end up rubbing your skin.

No, because I have the same problem, and it really doesn't do any good about it. However, for post-acne, I think you might want to apply some concealer prior to foundation.
