Concealer is a very picky choice. You DON'T want to get the incorrect shade. You may have to mix and match brands to see what works for you. I go in twice a year to make sure my concealer is the correct shade and has the coverage I want. I would try some of the Makeup Forever shades mixed with the Stila shades, but the Sephora experts can help you with that. Don't skimp on the time needed to get the correct shade for YOU. That is why I don't purchase at the drug stores, the shades or either ashy or dark. Maybe go to the store on a day other than the weekend and you can spend more time with the Sephora experts.

Maybe shade c. I have olive skin, dark hair and eyes, am Mediterranean.

Try Shade E or F, if you're not too dark skinned this will be good enough and lightly dust some powder over top all over to even it out and set it in place. Also Shade K and L at the bottom could work.. use your best judgment by looking at the samples online and comparing them to your face tone.

If it doesn't seem to work out you can always ship your return back to Sephora in the box it came in, or return it at a Sephora store, and try a different shade.

I also have Olive skin type and I use shade "C". Ask an associate to demostrate and apply it to your undereyes. Also, take a sample home to try before purchasing. That helps a great deal. Hope this helps.

My rule of thumb for under-eye coverage is to go a shade lighter than you would think the rest of your face would be.

I think it sounds like shade D or E would be a good one for you, but it really depends on how dark you are. Both shades have a bit of an olivey tone to it, so that seems about right. You should go to a Sephora store and ask them what shade is right for you, that's how I found my shade. The lady I asked did a test on my face and the colour was perfect! I hope that helps.

the best thing to do is just go to the store and try it out. Ive tried just getting product without trying and always been disapointed. I think I was "c". hope this helped you out.

This stuff works great for acne scars and pimples. It takes away 100% of the redness. It also stays on really well, even when it's hot out. It is a little shiny, though, so you may want to put some powder on the t-zone area after you put the concealer on.

I have combination skin and it has never "slid off" for me at all! The main thing I use it for is acne and dark spots and it covers better than anything I've ever used! Good Luck!

I have extremely red acne scars too and this concealer is perfect :) It's great on pimples too and it won't slide off your skin at all. Trust me, I have oily skin too.

Testers are available at any Sephora or dept. store that carries the Stila line - list on Stila Cosmetics site. The reps at Sephora are always helpful when it comes to finding the right shade for your complexion. There were times were I was b/w two shades and ended up buying both b/c a blend of the two was the right color for me. Stinks to think you have to spend twice as much, but blending the Perfecting Concealer w the foundation or powder you use may also work so you don't have to buy two. Sephora lets you have free samples to take home to try w the foundation/powder you normally use.

If you do not live close to a Sephora or want to choose a color without having to go into a store, the Stila Cosmetics website has pics of larger chunks of each shade on the Perfecting Concealer product page and a foundation color matcher palette link on the same page. There is also a video posted under the beautytube tab that offers tips to choosing the right shade - forward to about 1:16.

I would recommend trying it in the store first, but start with a shade d or e in the concealer.

You would need to go to the Sephora counter and let the makeup experts help you out with that, you DON'T want to get the wrong shade. I go at least twice a year to make sure I am wearing the correct color. Sometimes you have to mix different brands and shades together to get an exact match but the Sephora makeup experts can help you. They haven't steered me wrong yet. Have them mix you a sample first to see if it is something you will use on a daily basis.
