Questions & Answers for DDF Glycolic 10% Exfoliating Moisturizer

Question
Can the Glycolic 10% Exfoliating Moisurizer by DDF be used as a daily moisturizer?
The girl at sephora told me it's a day cream, but I'm reading that it's a night cream for every other night for first 2 weeks then after that every night again. Can I use as my daily cream? I have normal/dry skin, not really sensitive
Thanks!

I believe its made for a moisturizing night cream. Don't use it in the day stick with your regular moisturizer.

I wouldn't recommend using this product as a daytime cream. I think that something with an SPF would be better for the day

I use it day and night! It is just strong enough to make a difference but not THAT strong. I put just a little of this on in the morning with a light coat of spf over it. Then at night I use a little more. I do switch every other night though with skinceuticals extra moisturizing glycolic cream - just to keep my skin hydrated enough b/c my skin is extra dry! good luck!

I use this during the day, just not when I am heading to the beach, and I use mineral make-up with SPF- they just don't want you to burn.

The best advice I have to offer is for you to actually go to the official DDF website and see what their recommendation is. Sephora has a tendency to give conflicting information on their website but when you look at the manufacturing website its the complete opposite. Tread carefully.

I use it as a daily day cream and don't have any problems with it. The girl at Sephora said to use it as both a day and night cream. It is hard to use with makeup (since it's so light and hydrating that it smears it), but it's worth the glow your skin gets.

Yes, but once daily at night. Day use leaves you too vulnerable to sun damage.

I would not use it during the day. I would use a serum with antioxidants and hydrating agents like hyaluronic acid and Sodium PCA that will help your skin retain moisture. USE A moisturizer with high SPF during the day. Sometimes i use ARGAN oil in the winter too. Go light on the makeup. You should have success.

I am not an expert. My understanding is that you want to avoid combining acids and sunlight on general principle. The acid amplifies the effect of the sunlight- which will create more lines and skin damage. I use it at night, and was advised by my local sephora store to avoid daytime use.

I tried it during the day, on a weekend, while at home ... it was really tacky and greasy feeling, it never did soak into my skin, stayed greasy feeling all day! I definitely wouldn't recommend as a day cream.

don't use it during the day. the acid makes your skin more prone to burns. you should be wearing spf everyday while using this product (and in general).

Question
I was wondering...
Okay, so I cleanse with Origins Checks and Balances cleanser for combo skin then I follow with DDF Glyco toner as part of my skin care routine. I want to know if I can use this DDF moisturizer after using the toner as or is that bad? I also use the DDF Sulfur mask for my combination acne prone skin once a week. I really want to try this moisturize because I've heard so many good reviews but don't know what to do. Help!

It will be perfect for you. I use it for acne as a preventative and love it. If you do get a blemish add a little more no that zit and its gone in a day. Just use it nightly.

Hi. I use this product immediately after using the 10% glycolic toner and they both work for me. I usually then wait a few minutes to apply my sunscreen to get the DDF a chance to get in there first.

So funny! I use Origins Checks and Balances cleanser too - I love it! you should REALLY try this moisturizer. I was also suffering from random adult acne and it has really helped. Honestly, I would tell you to try this over the toner but I don't see why they couldn't be used together! Good luck!

If you can handle the toner, you can handle the moisturizer, The toner was too irritating for me, but if you rinsed the toner off at night and then only used this then, i think it would be ok.
Ask for a sample and try it one night. I wouldn't do double duty every day or in the am and pm, you would just be irritating your skin.

answer 5
yes you should be able to use your complete arsenal without difficulties if you do not have overly sensative skin. if your skin is sensative, use the moisturizer every other day. i use this product day and nite, and have since i rec'd it. i have not experienced burning/irritation as others have said. i think you'll like it; but just remember it takes about 6weeks for cell turnover, so dont expect results by the weekend. :)

I wouldn't use this with the toner at night. Get a toner for dry skin then put this on after that. Use the glycolic toner in the morning.

Question
Could this product be making my fine lines worse?
I have been using this every other day for about ten days. (I use the DDF oil free moisturizing dew SPF 15 for daytime.)Generally, my face feels smoother. However, my main concern and the reason I got this product is because I have fine lines on my forehead that I really want to minimize. I don't have fine lines anywhere else, but I constantly raise my eyebrows (trying to stop). The lines on my forehead appear worse and more visible. Is this product actually making my fine lines worse or is this one of those things that gets bad before it gets better? I would appreciate any input. Thanks!

Glycolic acid helps build collagen, so I have no idea why they seem worse, except maybe the rest of your skin is evening out and highlighting the lines?
I would keep going and give it a full 6 weeks before ditching it.

Try an antioxident serum under your moisturizer and sunscreen.

This product can't perform miracles, I'm sorry. It would not cause the lines to be worse unless it is drying you out. Try not using it for a month and see what happens

Question
Can I use DDF Glycolic Gel with this?
I purchased both today but looking at reviews it looks like you use one or the other? Is the gel a moisturizer? Planned on using gel then moisturizer just at night would this be ok?

I personally didn't care for the gel. I purchased it to use as an oil control product but it didn't do that for me. So I purchased the moisturizer instead and use it nightly and love it. I mainly use it as a prevetative for acne. It doesn't do anything for my oil. But I rather have oil than acne. Makes your skin smooth with a slight glow. I assume it will be a preventative for wrinkles as well.

Is this product designed to be used in conjunction with the DDF Glycolic face wash?
I'm concerned that the 2 might be a little strong if used together.
