I hand wash mine with a mild soap and let it air dry overnight. Once it's completely dry, I "fluff it up" by rubbing a clean towel across the surface (works kind of like a fabric softener and restores the puffiness).

You can wash anything if you do it gently enough! You can use baby shampoo, Dr. Bronner's baby scentless, or a brush cleaner with conditioner. Find a way for it to gently hang dry from the ribbon that says Laura Mercier though, so it doesn't mold.

I washed this puff with warm water and Johnsons Lavendar baby shampoo (that I use for the majority of my brushes). It was definitely clean after I finished washing it, but the application side felt stiffer and was not nearly as soft as before. The puff still works the same, but I miss how soft it used to be.

This puff is completely washable--that's one of my favorite things about it. You just wash it with mild shampoo and let air dry and it's as good as new. It will last a very long time.

This is great, you can wash it with no mis-shape, will work well after washed and comes clean. I believe you can put it in the washer but I wash mine by hand.

I just got my puff, but other reviewers stated that they wash theirs. Some said it shrunk on them and others stated that it was like brand new. Because of the even coverage and wash ability, I decided to try it.

This puff is washable but didn't wash well. It shrunk a lot in the washing machine even though I washed it in a net bag on gentle and didn't use the dryer.

It is washable, but I would not recommend washing this puff. I washed mine because I accidentally dropped it in my bathroom sink while it had water. I carefully washed it with my makeup brush shampoo, and I let it air dry. The velour ended up a bit stiff, and I noticed that I needed to add more powder than usual. I ended up buying a new puff as a result.

The diameter is about 4 inches, so it's a generous size to cover your entire face fast.

I've used it with BB pressed powder with great results. For the most natural application, Would use this in conjunction with a big fluffy face brush if you like brushes. For instance, I use BB's face brush to do a light dusting everywhere, especially on my cheeks. And I use the velour puff under my eyes and on my forehead where I have creases. For some reason (and it depends on the makeup as well), this puff puts the makeup "on top" rather than "inside" my lines.

I'm not sure, but I don't think it's foam. It's really super soft and flexible and washes well.
