I have some rosacea too, although my skin isn't fair, really... I was thinking of trying the FAWN color, rather than Sand. Although I haven't tried this yet, I understand the coverage is light, based on most of the comments. If you're concerned about it not covering the rosacea enough, try pairing it up with Clinique Redness Solutions mineral power. It's got a very transluscent/yellow base and is wonderfully light on your face and it's WONDERFUL at combatting that redness without feeling cakey.

i am really not sure but i think you should go to your nearest sephora store and ask the person who works there and they would probably match you with your perfect shade.

I think Sand might be too dark. Think about adding a dab of regular LM foundation to your tinted moisturizer for the perfect color. I have olive to fair skin and use the Sand to darken my regular LM foundation when I want a bronzy glow...

The Sand shade has a yellow base which I think would work very well with rosacea. The Nude has a more neutral to slightly pink base.

I am older as well. I have light "ish" skin with roscaia and used the sand. The nude was just too light and this has light tint to begin with. I have very sensitive skin and have experienced no problems with this product.

I am 61 yrs. old also have redness on my skin, similar to rosacea, and the color I tried was the color of my skin, not darker cause I was told that it would look as if I had a tan and I wanted the moisturizer to work year round. It did even out my skin color and looked finished but it did not entirely cover my redness, but it did offer a good improvement. Also, I have combo skin and my forehead looked a little greasy as the day wore on. However, I have used the Vincent Longo foundation which covered the redness completely and did not look heavy on my 61 yr. old face.

It might take a little trail and error with this as the moisturizer is pretty sheer. I use the nude and am on the fair side and it works in the summer even with a little bit of color that I get. I think it depends on how red your rosacea is and how fully you would like it covered up, I use Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil over the top. Sorry I couldn't be more help, good luck.

I am 57 with light skin and yellow undertones and tend to flush on my cheeks. I use the nue as the sand is to beige.

I am a red head, freckled, fair girl with red tones. I wear porcelain in the winter and nude in the summer. I think if you can't try it on at the store go with the lighter first as the summer sun is leaving shortly. If you don't feel its dark enough you could mix with a bit of foundation or just use as a moisturizer. Then on next order go darker. Good luck, I love this product!

Which ever color has less pink undertones would probably work best for you since you want to counteract the redness from rosacea. try to see if it blends well with your skin, use very little at first to make sure. Personally I feel that the color range in this tinted moisturizer seems to suit most skin tones well which is a plus.

If the pigment of your skin is lighter, stick with the lighter shade. You don't need a darker shade to try and mask the roseaca, that will only add to the pigment. I also have mild roseaca, I know the struggles in trying to achieve an even tone. Additionally, as a makeup artist I am always searching for ways to help with issues surrounding application, etc. What I might suggest is to apply a very thin layer of concealer (using a concealer brush), to the areas affected by roseaca before applying the tinted mositurizer. That way you can get a little more coverage where you need it, while reaping the benefits of the sheer tint in the mositurizer. Good luck!

The best way to determine this is by going to Sephora or Laura Mercier counter and having a professional (or yourself) put the make-up on your face to determine the correct color for you. Something that I do is combine two colors of the tinted moisturizer to get the best possible color that is correct for my face.

It's hard to know without seeing your skin, but I also have light skin + mild rosacea. I use Nude in winter, and Sand in summer.

I use the nude color and like it a lot. But it doesn't provide a lot of coverage. Maybe use this in conjuction with a foundation primer that tones down the red in your skin. Smashbox has a nice primer - I use the clear one but there is one for reddish tone skin I believe. Good luck

I would recommend Nude. It should give you a nice warm color instead of washing you out. It will also cover the redness and even out your skin tone. It won't feel like foundation either. I suffer from the same problem.

If you are close to fair, go with the nude. Its better to be 1/2 a shade too light and use a bronzer to warm it up; rather than a shade thats too dark.

I have a more medium, warm, complexion with freckles and rosascea. I use the Sand. So I would recommend you go the lighter shade if you are fair.

Nude definitely. I have medium skin and am almost 50, but sand is too dark for me except in summer. It still adds a very healthy glow.

I would go with the deeper tone, because it is lightweight and the color is not masky or intense. If you get it in too pale a tone it wouldn't be sufficient to even out the "rosiness". Certainly, stop in the store and sample both, that's always the ultimate proof.

answer 22
I think you might like it because it is a heavy tinted moisturizer. I think the sand maybe too dark, so I go with the nude. I found the color to be darker than what I normally wear.

Go with the nude!. The sand will make your skin look too yellowy. Just layer the moisturizer where the Rosacea is.

I would try to get into a store and test them both out. I personally have fair skin and rosacea and wear the nude and it evens out my coloring nicely.

answer 25
I would go with the nude color, just because it's the safest bet. The sand color might look to orange, and you want a more natural looking finish. This product will even out your skin tone very naturally, and give you a more luminous and fresh appearance. If you want a little more color on your cheecks try a subtle blush, or peachy bronzer.

I'm in my early 30s with fair skin, blonde hair, green eyes. The Nude color works perfect for me but keep in mind this coverage is very sheer. It evens out skin tone but doesn't offer "full" coverage of blemishes.

I would go for the Nude. I have fair skin and use it covers all redness in my skin. The Sand was a little too dark for me especially now that my summer glow is fading.

I have pretty light colored skin, especially when the winter comes. So I use a slightly darker color. This gives me a nice sublte glow for the winter but also covers the slight redness that I might have from dry skin. I would say go into the store and try both colors and see which is a better concealer.

I would probably go for the nude if I had lighter skin. Even with rosacea, you would want to match it to your actual skin color. However, what I would do would be to get the Secret Camouflage to cover up the redness. I have melasma and it works like a dream!

I think you should try the nude. It blends really well with your skin and it's the safest bet. I also have fair skin and found the nude to be perfect. I also heard that many people were unsatisfied with the sand.

I have fair/medium coloring although lean toward a medium during the summer with a slight tan. I tried the fawn. I wrote the Laura Mercier people and asked what color they'd recommend/I wanted the most neutral choice as my skin tone has pink and have the best luck with a neutral choice. So when the "fawn" arrived and I put it on, it didn't look good. Seemed to look yellow on my face. I think next time I'd try the nude color.

I use NUDE, and it's great. But the best thing about Sephora is, if it doesn't work for you, you can return it!

answer 37
I would have to say Sand to help camo the rosascea, unless you always wear nude and depends on how Pale your skin is. I have medium skin and have always worn Fawn in the summer I add a bit of bronzer and winter powder and blush.

I would recommend the Nude--it's what I use. I have an olive complexion but I never get sun so I'm pretty pale. Before I was as diligent about sunscreen I used Sand but now it's too dark for me. I think the Nude is in fact actually lighter than Sand, though the undertones may differ slightly.

Hey sister, I've got rosacea, too. This product is my fall-back when I need nearly instantaneous coverage, but I don't have time or desire to do makeup. I wear it to the gym, for example.
I'm fair (with yellow-undertones), blonde and blue-eyed. I wear this in Nude.
