It does stay all day! I put on in the mornings and it is on till I take it off! I do have to blot but I haven't found anything yet to keep my oil at bay.

I used this makeup for about 5 months and when I came home between school and going out at night I had to basically reapply the whole face.. Definately not a stay-put make up (not to mention the oil slicks it produces) Try MakeUp Forever HD Foundation... I use it now and stays on all day through school/dinner and even workouts...

If you are looking for FULL coverage I would not go with this foundation. Its a great foundation, but doesnt give full coverage. The Laura Mercier Foundation Powder or the Laura Mercier Silk Cream foundation would be better suited for someone looking for a full coverage.

I have pale skin, with a few brown spots and veins that show, and it does well for me; you have to get up close to see them. I'm sure if I layered it, the coverage would be even better, I just don't take time to do it. I'm happy with the texture and coverage. The moisturizing makeup is the greatest.

No it doesn't cover well. I have slight redness to my cheeks but this foundation just looks so unnatural on my skin. Not to mention that it doesn't offer any coverage at all.

Sephora gives a brief description of the colors offered by Laura Mercier. While it is not fool-proof, I have found that the descriptions are pretty accurate. I always make it a point to color match foundations while I am visiting a shop and then do the ordering from the comfort of my home.

Base your decision on the foundation color which has worked best for you in past purchases. Sephora realizes that it is hard to make a color choice without actually trying it which is why you can return the item, even after you have tried it . Just return it to them in the original packing with the necessary paperwork to the USPS using the pre-paid return label that you received with your original order. Any questions or problems, call customer service, they are very helpful.

Pick two shades that most closely matches your skintone. Try both in natural light by placing a little on your forehead and jawline. It should look natural, so that you can barely notice it. Then return the one you don't want.

How do I apply this?
Do I use a brush (what kind)? My fingers? A sponge?

I've had the best results applying it with the Laura Mercier egg-shaped sponges, in a stippling motion over my face. I'm not sure if that exact sponge is critical in application but I've tried it with drugstore latex sponges and the effect was not the same at all.

I have found that I get the best results when applying with my fingers. The finished look appears sheer and lightweight. I have bought Laura Mercier's brush applicator but feel that when applied with a brush or sponge, the final appearance tends to be a heavier coverage than I prefer.

Question
What color of Laura Mercier oil free foundation I should use
I currently use the tinted oil free moisturizer in the shade SAND. I'm looking for a little more coverage and thought to use the oil free foundation. My skin tone is medium/light. I believe I have warm skin tone. My eyes are brown as is my hair color. Your advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Kimberly.

If you use the shade Sand in the TM, go with either the Warm Ivory or the Sunny Beige in the Oil Free Foundation.

My guess would be the warm ivory. However, this is best for yellow undertones. If you have pink or blue undertones, go with the blush ivory. Make sure you use the primer first. Dampen your makeup sponge to help with a light, smooth application. Hope this helps!

I had to go into the store because I had trouble finding the right shade which was great because they were super helpful. Hopefully you live near a store but if not sephora.com is really good about exchanges and returns. Good luck if you like the moisturizer you will love love love the foundation.

I have a light olive complexion (light because I live in the mountains) and I wear the vanilla beige color foundation. I also wear the nude tinted moisturizer and it is a great match to my face as well.

Question
What color is right for me?
Hi. I live in Norway, and there is nobody that sells Laura Mercier here. And I so want to try it! I have been thinking about the oil free foundation, but I am not shure about the color. I am now using a pressed powder from Glo Minerals in the color Golden light. I have light skin with some tan from the summer sun, If you know what I mean =)
I added a picture, It is not very good, but you can see my skin color. Hope somebody knows what color I need. From what I have seen from the colors to choose from, I think I maybe need the Honey beige or the Vanilla beige.

Question
Skintone
Do you give out free samples of the Oil Free Foundation? I'm very interested in trying this product but I am unsure of which color I should try. I've been told that I have "golden" and "rose" undertones. I'm not sure which one I should try. I'm hispanic but I would have to say that I have a medium skin color. Thank you.

I would recommend Golden Beige. I am Hispanic as well and I found Rose give me rosey, unnatural coloring, while when wearing Golden Beige most people can hardly tell I am wearing foundation - its wonderful!!!
