Question
Is it yellow-ey, and how do I use it?
I have fair skin with some freckles, and blue eyes. I am half-Chinese, half European-mixed so I'm pretty unsure of my undertones-- sometimes they seem to be more golden but other times they seem more pink-- plus I think fair people are supposed to have pink undertones but I am mixed and wouldn't be surprised if I had different undertones, since my eyes are also mixed colors (blue/green/grey). But if it helps, when I look at the veins on my wrist, they are blue.
My friend told me about this product. She said she loves it, but when I saw hers, it looked so yellow-ey! It kind of scared me. While it works great on her, I'm nervous to invest in this product in case it turns out really yellow on me. Plus, my skin tone is kind of weird, because I'm fair, but not ghostly, so sometimes the lightest colors are too light on me, and sometimes--usually-- the next darkest color is too dark.
I really like the idea of this because it seems nice to be able to customize your color, and everyone I know who uses this LOVES it. A lot.
So, can you tell me if the lightest version of this is actually yellow-ey, and how do I use it? I don't really break out that much but I would use it for the occasional breakout and blemishes, and definitely for dark circles under my eyes, but that's about it. I don't wear foundation, just moisturizer for sunscreen and a little concealer.
Thanks!

Everything appears yellowy on my skin! But SC1 is not yellowy at all. One shade is a light neutral beige, and the other side is practically colorless. This is a good alternative if your skin tans or if you want a multi function concealer that will work on dark circles, birthmarks, and blemishes. If your skin tone seems to change, having two shade options should work to your benefit. The shades blend super easily, and you can make the right combination fairly quickly. Once you start to apply the product you'll see immediately whether you need to add more of the lighter or darker shade.

I have rosy skin tones and very fair skin and quite honestly this is a little yellow on the lightest side. The other side might work just fine for you, though.

I have a whole drawer full of cover-up make-up trying to find the perfect one. This one may be a little off on the color pallete for you, but if you use an eye brush (one that is flat) and blend, blend, blend I think you will be happy. Sometimes I mix this one with another one to achieve the coverage I need. Good luck. The make-up from Laura Mercier is great for under your eyes, too. . .use it to enhance your beauty, not cover it !!!
