Question
What is the difference?
What is the difference between High Brow and Eye Bright? Can't they both be used for the same things?

answer 1
I have used High Brow for my brows and in certain areas around my eyes. It works well for dual use. However, the Eye Bright is better for the eyes because of the pinkish tone.

answer 2
The difference between the two is the color. The undertone in "eyebright" is going to help brighten the area while hiding dark circles also if used with "ooh la lift" its sister, you can achieve a beautifully brightened eye WITHOUT the use of concealer. High BROW is meant to be used under the brow, the color doesn't conceal or aid in hiding the darker pigment we tend to get under our eyes. use all three products for perfect looking younger eyes without the feel of tons of make up!

Yes they can, but I just prefer the color the High Brow. Eye bright is just what it says bright. The High Brow is more natural.

They are slightly different in color. I suppose you could use just one stick for both purposes, just pick the formula you think is most important.

Personally, I own both and use both every day and I can tell the difference in the color and coverage.

I have both but I've found that with my coloring, the High Brow is much more flattering and natural looking and gives me both the lift and brightening I need. It also works great in the inner hollow corners of my eyes, making me look well rested without being at all noticeable. The Eye Bright was way too pink and artificial looking for me. Go to Sephora and try one on each eye and compare which looks better on you.

I also use the high brow pencil in the inner corners of my eye and it works fine. Just a tiny dad is plenty and "brightens" the eye.

I was wondering that myself. But Eye Bright seems to have less of a matte effect than High Brow. It's not especially shimmery, but it's creamier and easier to put on around the inner eyes, for example. So basically, High Brow is matte. Eye Bright is not. The two really do have different purposes!

I have both and use them on my brows and under my eyes to make them pop, whichever is in my make up kit, so you can keep the high brow at home or you can have the eye bright and keep that in your purse

answer 10
Eye bright is more pink and is meant to brighten all around the eye by disguising dark circles and general discoloration of the lid. High brow is meant to emphasize the arch of the brow. It is more on the nude side so it gives a more natural look underneath the brows. You would want to blend this down towards your eye shadow or just blend for a natural look.

I am a black woman also and I came across the product in one of the stores and I was skeptical, but the sales person convinced me to let her try it out on me and it looked good - don't be put off by the super-light pink colour - it works on us too. I am also a makeup artist and I bought one for my kit. It's very helpful!

It has a pink undertone, so that's a good question. Go into a store and have them put it on you and see what you think. You don't want it to look like eye shadow, its supposed to make your eyelid and eye look bigger.

It could work but you have to put a tiny tiny bit since this is very light and you dont want to make it so obvious, you dont want people looking at your eyebrows because it could be a distraction, I use a tiny brush to simply blend it ..like a fade away type of deal, I am Asian and has a medium skin tone

Matte-but I add a little of the Benefit "High Beam" paste on to my eyelids to make a light, tasteful shimmer (or add more a shimmer-dewy look for evening) and lightly trace the bottom part of my eyebrows with the High Brow pencil.

For me, it works best along with Benefit's cream eyeshadow. I apply the eyeshadow first, then the High Brow, and pat firmly to blend. It might be more difficult to blend it properly if you use a powder shadow, though--I think the creamy slickness of the shadow makes it a lot easier to blend.

To start I make small dots just under the arch of my brow and then use the pad of my ring finger to dab/pat at the color until it's almost invisible, then I do it again. It seems I get the best coverage and lasting power with this method.
(I usually use lemon aid on the lid first, fading it up to the brow. I don't know if this has a dramatic impact on my results or not.)

First off when you apply it , kind of smudge it on dont draw it like a pencil. Then i try to blend it in with my finger softy. Also you may want to try a q-tip i did this a few times on the inner corner of my eyes because it is hard for me to blend it there because i have long nails. Hope this helps :)

Sadly, you do need to sharpen this manually. It's my one complaint about the product because no matter how careful you are, you will waste some product and if you're in a rush, it's easy to break the tip or waste even more than the minimum amount. UD's Grindhouse sharpener is a good one to use, though, and a tip I use for all my pencils that need sharpening - stick them into the freezer for 15 minutes or so and it will be easier to sharpen them.

This is not difficult to sharpen at all. When the pencil becomes shorter, it can be challenging but that's pretty much the course for any cosmetic in item in pencil form that requires sharpening. I would not let any hesitations regarding sharpening keep me from purchasing this product. It's worth it.

As for the sharpener, pretty much any sharpener (not electic) will do the job. I have a couple that I use and have owned for years.

The pencil method of highlighting your brow bone has it's own uses whereas it's long lasting, and if you've applied an eye primer, it has a less chance of melting on your skin throughout the day than just using a powder. You can also use the highlighting pencil as a base, with a powder over top much like you would use a primer. High brow doesn't have to be used solely for under eye brows. You can also use a small amount on your cupid's bow, and down the center of your nose for sculpting/chiseling your features.
