Questions & Answers for SEPHORA COLLECTION Pro Natural Crease Brush #10

Question
How do I clean this brush?
I have a brush shampoo but is it safe to use on a natural hair brush like this one? I usually spray the shampoo on my brushes, swirl it around, and then rinse it with water. Is that safe to do with this brush too? If not, how should I clean it?

Thanks!

For daily cleaning, I use Sephora's daily brush cleaner spray then wipe with a towel (one you don't mind ruining). Continue until all residue is gone. Every two weeks or so, I wash my brushes with Sephora's brush shampoo. I personally like it better then baby shampoo, but that works as well. Just don't use your regular hair shampoo or hand soap. Those have extras in them and are too harsh for your brushes.

I usually use a daily sanitizer before each use, one a week I use a small amount of brush shampoo in my hand and roll the brush around with my fingers on its side to clean. I then rinse the end only and dry upright, no problems thus far, hope it helps!

I have always used baby shampoo on my brushes. I put a bit in my palm, lather it up and then massage the brush gently, without getting the bristles smushed or flattened. So you should be fine with a spray, swirl and thorough rinse. Also, when you dry it, make sure to angle is slightly to get any remaining moisture out of the base where the brush is crimped to the handle.

Yes, using a gentle shampoo is safe for these brushes (like baby shampoo for ex.) I recommend using an all natural hand soap, like E.O., something really gentle and cleansing. Lay flat off the side of a table to dry.

answer 5
Yes, a brush shampoo or even a mild shampoo meant for your own hair works fine. Hand soap isn't all that great as it may have lotions or other additives which don't clean the oils and product off the brush as well as straight shampoo does.

I've known people with the Sephora Platinum line who have had the brushes for 10 years. It is all about how well you clean them and take care of them.

I had this brush for 2 years now. It has gone through many deep cleaning and daily cleanser. The hairs are still soft. No fall outs. Keeps its shape very well.

I personally think this brush is better than MAC. It's so soft, and isn't frayed like some of my MAC crease and blending brushes. I haven't had this brush for very long, but I've washed it several times and it is still in perfect condition.

Question
Sephora or MAC?
I am debating between this brush and the mac #222 or #224, this brush is cheaper than both and sephora brushes are great quality, just wondering which i should go with...

This brush is similar to the MAC 222, it's not quite as large as the MAC 224. My MAC 222 has a couple hairs that are bent outward, nothing that ruins the brush but it annoys me. I've washed this brush several times and it is still in perfect condition. I definitely recommend it...it's a great brush! Great value, too!

Sephora. Mac tends to be way too pretentious for my taste.

This brush is VERY similar to the MAC 224. I would definitely go with this one, it's just as fluffy and effective as the MAC one for a much more reasonable price.

The platinum brushes are awesome, it's the only collection I buy. This crease brush does the high professionally quality result. So why pay more when you can get the same results for less?
