Recommended to use with this shampoo is "Phytodensium Mask" but I haven't tried it yet. What I do use though is the "Phyto 7 Daily Hydrating Botanical Cream" and it works like a charm. I have fine hair so I have to watch how much product I use on my hair as I can end up looking like a grease-ball, but not with this cream. I use it after every shampoo and can honestly say that I don't know how I lived without it! Trust the instructions though, really use only a pea-sized amount. Not a tiny sweet-pea dollop, but go ahead and use a plump and fully cooked green pea size.

Question
Should I be using a conditioner in conjunction with the shampoo?
I purchased this shampoo along with the Phytocyane Treatment Vials for Thinning hair and have used it once so far. My hair was very dry and tangled after I used this. Should i also be using a conditioner or will it counteract with the products?

You should be shampooing first, then definitely using a conditioner (either Phytodensium or Phytojoba would be good choices). Then use the ampules after you towel dry your hair. If you only use the shampoo and the ampules, your hair will be very dry because neither one of them have any sort of conditioning product in them.

If hair is dry then conditioner is a must after using this shampoo. Phytobaume conditioner and phyto 9 works wonders on hair. This is what i have been doing. Without conditioner hair is left frizzy and more prone to breakage

I have very long hair and I can't go without conditioner. After using the shampoo, I use a teeny amount of conditioner on the ends of my hair and then quickly rinse it. I am also a fan of leave in conditioner spray/detangler, but that is something that I have always used. It seems to work very well with this product. Any brand that you prefer should work just fine. I just use Biolage conditioner and leave in conditioner/detangler. :) Also, on a side note, sometimes I apply a little Josie Maran Argan Oil to my scalp in the evening before I go to bed. Just a little bit, to keep my scalp nice and moisturized in the winter.

Question
would this shampoo help me no matter what is causing my hair to thin?
for the past 2 years, i have been under tremendous amount of stress. to keep it short, ive had the word cancer thrown at me from several specialists pertaining to different health issues. so how can i not stress, right? i am now on birth control for health issues, and ive read that this can cause hair to thin.
i do style my hair 4 times a week with a straightener. i do use hair serums to protect against heat.
stress can cause hair thinning... i understand but of course with the years that i been having with my health issues... how can i not stress?
losing hair and it thinning, causes other issues such as low self esteem.

therefore, i would really like to know no matter what is causing the thinning, will this Phyto line help me?

Hi,

I would suggest using the shampoo with the serum. I have good experience with this combination in preventing hair loss due to stress. I would also encourage you not to use the straightener for a while. Even if you use protective products, those styling tools are not good in the long term. The heat really damages the hair and hair root. I hope this helps.

I believe the pill is what caused me to lose my hair. Please don't mistake what I wrote. I believe the Phyto line helps my hair to APPEAR thicker and healthier. I do not believe it is causing my hair to regrow. In my particular case, I have found NOTHING that has helped me regrow my hair, not even minoxidil, and minoxidil is actually a pharmaceutical product - a drug. Women's hair loss is a MUCH MORE complex problem than men's. In the case of men's hair loss - it is testosterone related, and that is all. For women, it could be that too much testosterone in your system, you could have ovarian cysts, you could have a thyroid condition, you could have an auto-immune problem, you could have an allergy or - like me - after almost a decade of searching for answers, the answer could be, you're just unlucky. So the short answer is, no, this product won't work for every hair loss situation, especially if your hair loss is due to cancer treatments. My understanding is that it is only once the treatment stops will your hair begin to grow back.

I started using Phyto because it was recommended by my hair dresser. This was about 4 years ago. At that time, I was going through a depression that cause my hair to fall out in clumps. I don't have think, dense hair to begin with, so I was willing to try anything.

I noticed a difference very quickly. I used Phytocyane shampoo, along the the Phytodensium serum and conditioner. My hair became much more shiny and healthy within about a week, and I began to see some major regrowth. Of course, it took time for the hair to grow back, and I still have a lot of regrowth coming in. But the greatest thing is that it started to fall out less and less, and now it's a normal amount of fallout. Part of that is becaue the stresses in my life have been minimized, but my hair would not be as strong and healthy as it is without the right products. I would definitely recommend that you try it.

If your hair loss is a genetic disposition, I don't think that this will help as much as you would hope. It can't hurt, and may help slow the process, but genetics are genetics.

I noticed that too and was also confused as to why this product has the natural seal when SLS is the third ingredient. Just another reminder of how important it is to read ingredients lists. I would stay away from this if you have thinning hair. Sulfates dry the top layers of your skin and can worsen skin conditions and allergic reactions for people with sensitive skin.

This product greatly diminished my color - despite reassurances from the sales clerk that it would not. Now I am learning that this product does more harm than good as to thickening hair. I was given the wrong information twice. If Phyto is known not to help, stop selling it. or stop
misleading customers.

Not happy at all with Sephora.

Since this product has the green seal, the ingredients are all natural and organic. I'm not a hundred percent sure if it can damage your scalp but to my knowledge, natural and organic ingredients shouldn't be harmful to your scalp. Hope this was helpful :)

Love phytocyane-use it 2-3x/week. I use volumizing and or normal shampoo rest of the week. The phytopolleine elixir I use 1-2x/month, I'd like to use it more but I never remember, it treats the scalp and roots of your hair(fuller, better texture, scalp feels great), only need a few drops-lasts a long time. I really like phytojoba mask 2x/week, but i haven't found a daily conditioner I really like yet, especially if you have coarse hair- did you say that? Anyway, phyto has me hooked, I will always use the phytocycane, phytopolleine and phytojoba. Hope this helps

Which Phyto product is right for me?
Hi...I was just curious which of the phyto products would be best for my hair type. I have short, pin straight, fine hair. I don't dye my hair at all. It is fairly dry and lifeless. I want something that will give me volume and softness.

I have very fine hair although natural wavy., shoulder length. I like the way it
lathers, not too crazy about the tangles after I wash but after using the same brand hair conditioner it really combs out easy and increases the volume when dry. I don't color my hair. My hair does feel soft and light. Makes my scalp feels good. I don't know if it is my natural wave/curl but I wouldn't use this without conditioner. A little goes a long way.

I would suggest the one that I use...And I have not been disappointed once. This shampoo was suggested to me at the Sephona in Willow Grove, Pa. by a most helpful young associate. I have since purchased another bottle in PIttsburgh, Pa. The shampoo is Phytocyane...It is, indeed, fabulous and guarantees a brilliant outcome. You will not be disappointed!
