No, its plastic, and not the easiest jar to open. I buy it anyway, though becuz the scrub is divine.

yes, it is made out of glass. Store it in a good place. I am wary of this too when I bought it, but i have it in a secure place when I use it.

The jar is NOT made of glass, but rather a very heavy plastic. Real metal hardware and rubber seal as would be on a glass jar.

The jar is made out of glass; at least that is what it feels like to me when I pick it up; although it isn't terribly heavy.

No, it's actually a very hard plastic. I plan on reusing the jar because it seems pretty durable.

No, the jar is made of plastic. It may have been made of glass at one point, but the jar I have that I recently bought at Sephora is definitely plastic.

It is a very thick PET bottle, resembles glass very closely. Recyclable PET, first grade (non-toxic).

No. It is a heavy plastic, which is good for other uses after the scrub is gone. Has a nice lid with a rubber gasket that keeps the contents from leaking. A really neat jar.

Can I use my fingers to scoop it out or should I use a spoon?
I just got this scrub and I'm using my fingers to scoop it out. It occurred to me that using fingers may not be the most hygienic choice.

If you think about it, you are in the shower or bath and probably have just washed your hands so it should be okay. What I am more concerned about with this product is collecting of moisture. I always make should I pour any water out that may have dripped off my fingers before I close the cap. Moisture breeds bacteria.

I use my fingers. The texture feels like it makes a barrier on the skin along with exfoliating, so you don't really have to worry there. Just wash you hand in soap, body wash, or something (like Head & Shoulders Shampoo), beforehand if you don't want to "contaminate" the jar...especially if you let other people use it (I don't...its just too good).

I left it on a minute or so but I rubbed it on my skin fairly hard. It was the best scrub I've ever tried.
