Sorry I don't know about origin. Just know that this is a quality scent that stays on the skin and gets better with time.

It is authentic because it is made in Germany for the recent years. It used to be made in Italy, and the name is branded on the bottle with a sticker. Now the name of the German made ones is directly printed on the bottle. The smells between both are definitely different. I don't know what those people at Dolce & Gabbana were thinking. If they wanted to create a different scent, they can create another line of eau de toilette. Why would they want to change the scent of their classic EDT? I'm very disappointed...

That's a good question. I, too, bought one that was made in Germany. I don't know, something about me wishes it would have been made in Italy; I don't know, I guess there's just some allure, ambiance to it. I hope I didn't buy a fake! At first when I wore it I smelled like an oil-based woman's scent in it; this had not been the case with my earlier purchases of D&G. I was upset. But now that I'm exercising and eating better (as I was during my earlier purchases), that "oil-makeup" scent has seemed to greatly diminish or disappear entirely. I imagine that would be due to body chemistry changing. Either way, I love your question; I was hoping I was not the only one to wonder about its authenticity. I am grateful to the internet and these types of opportunities to connect and share.
