Questions & Answers for Guerlain Meteorites Powder For The Face

Question
How do you apply these?
Do you crumble them and then brush? Or use the brush on the top of the spheres?
I feel somewhat silly asking.

DO NOT CRUMBLE. Simply brush on top of the spheres, and you'll get a nice even color. If you crumble the spheres you get a huge powdery mess.

You're supposed to use a brush and just rub it on the balls, then on your face. You don't need to crush the balls, they are pretty powdery. Hope that is helpful :)

I like to take my blush Brush and roll it onto the spheres in a circular motion. I then take the brush and apply it to my face like I'm applying Blush.

I use them with the meteorites brush that is a big coarse (I think it is made of goat hair) and roll the brush over the spheres to blend them. But then I use them separately as eyeshadows. I don't think there is one correct way of using them, just use your imagination! :)

Meteorites powder has a light sweet powdery floral scent, like a Victorian lady's violet perfume, which is one of the things i enjoy about it. Additionally, Guerlain launched Meteorites perfume in 2000, which duplicates the fragrance of the face powder. It has green and iris top notes; violet middle notes; and heliotrope and sandalwood in the base. Because of the violet and sweet notes of the powder, the Guerlain Insolence line of fragrances is somewhat reminiscent of it.

Yes, it's pretty strongly scented in my opinion. A lot of people love that smell, it's kind of a...perfumey fragrance, not floral or fruity or resembling anything I know that's naturally-occurring, it's just a strong, in-your-face perfumey smell. It kind of reminds me of my mom and grandma. I personally am not a huge fan of the smell - in fact I usually try not to inhale as I apply this.

All of these shades are very sheer and would look good on anyone, but I am fond of the transluscent for my light and cool skin.

I have fair skin and use mythic. It makes your skin look nicer without adding a lot of colour.

I have a cool fair skin tone and I have the pink one, I think it's the best to give you a little bit of color without being too much.

About 3 inches wide and 2 inches tall. It's a decent size for the price. Dont worry.

Hi hun,

I bought the ~Perles Imperials~ during the Holidays.
This is the most beautiful highlighter I've ever seen.
While it "does appear" that Sephora will bring them back...
I saw them still available at Nordstroms on 2/4/2010.

Meanwhile, I've written Sephora's "Product Services" that you can email by
going through the "Contact Us" at the bottom of any Sephora.(com) page.
I was told these maybe back in mid February, but "product Services" will email me with a precise date in a few days.

You can contact Sephora directly through the "Contact Us" link for further information.

I hope this helps!

Question
How does it compare to BE flawless radiance?
I purchased BE flawless radiance (the goldish/translucent one) instead of the meteorites because of the price. I'm not sure I like how the powder goes on though, its hard to get a light even dusting. I feel like all of the powder on the brush goes whereever i initially start applying and then its difficult to blend. on the opposite side, if i go very light i feel like it is not noticable.

I was wondering if this is easier to control how much goes on the brush more than the loose powder. Does anyone find the meteorites difficult to apply evenly or blend?

They are balls of powder. When you swirl your brush over the them, just the right amount of powder comes off.

They are basically all face powder but in little balls. There really cool and unique. You need a decent brush to apply these. You just take the brush and press down on the balls and swish the brush. Push down fairly hard..you really want some powder on your brush and then apply!

Hi! You swirl a brush over the tiny balls and apply the powder all over your face for a subtle glow which evens out your skin tone (slightly). I think you need to use it over foundation or tinted moisturizer (it is not enough on its own, I don't think).

Question
color choice
I am having trouble deciding on a color, I have fair skin and medium-dark colored blonde hair. I really like the rose pink collection, but how dark are they, can the regular meteorites be used in place of a transluscent setting powder and I had decided on the light pink glow meteorites but they are out do you know when they will be back in stock? Sorry about all the questions but I am having trouble making up my mind. Thank You
